car parked in road, but safely. Traditional English breakfast.
Staff was friendly. Room was average-ish. Wifi did not work preventing working as needed.
One night stay, comfortable bed, nice size clean room. Dog friendly.
Mixed feelings about the Hampton. Its in a good location in the middle of town and we were lucky to be able to check in early. The staff were pleasant, but the condition of the hotel is very jaded, old carpets and quite dark. Access to the room is by a turn-key which was difficult to turn. Small room with small TV. Tiny 'bathroom', old carpet and old secondary glazed windows which didnt keep street noise out but bed was very comfortable. Full English breakfast was hot and tasty but coffee/tea machine wasn't working.
Lovely stay, really nice staff, very friendly.
Newly refurbished rooms, nice n clean.
Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in—and as a frequent business traveller, that’s saying something. We booked 8 rooms for 5 nights and every single one was filthy, uncomfortable and in disrepair. Issues included: stained bedding, mouldy showers, broken beds, missing hairdryers (despite being advertised), threadbare towels, no water in some showers, and doors that couldn’t be properly locked. The whole place reeked—some rooms of fresh paint, others of something rotting. The noise levels were appalling, from barking dogs to loud plumbing and paper-thin walls. Parking is advertised but completely inadequate; none of us could use it. We were forced to pay in full on arrival—now we know why. Breakfast wasn’t available before 7am, and despite explaining we were leaving early each day for the Royal Welsh Show, no effort was made to accommodate us, unlike other hotels who offer early service or takeaway options. The manager was ‘unavailable’ at checkout and has yet to respond. This is rated a 3-star hotel—it’s barely worthy of 1. We paid over £4K and had team members ready to drive four hours home just to avoid another night here. Shocking service and conditions. I would never return or recommend. I’d welcome contact from the owners (Mrs Rosemary Helen Sanders and Mr Carl David Sanders) or the manager (Neil) to discuss this further.
Basic, but done the job for a night out, and somewhere to rest your weiry head. Couldn't believe there was no soap in the bathroom!!!
Place was clean. Didn't attempt to take a shower as the cubicle is sooooooo small, clostraphobia.
Stayed here a few times, great location in centre of town, staff so helpful, room spacious and clean,Safe lock up for motorcycles, looking forward to next visit.
Third floor a problem without lift. Very Small no chair.Shower wasn’t working, I reported but no action taken or explanations. No way out in case of an emergency eg fire.Parking a major problem.
Basic but great value. Fantastic management and staff. Neil very helpful with bikes.
Friendliness of staff.
The Hampton provides a clean and comfortable bed for the night. Whilst the en suite is cramped it is acceptable and has a good shower. The room was clean and bright and most probably newly decorated. The amenities were basic but soap and a hairdryer were available on request. I had to go out and buy some shampoo. The breakfast was basic; there was juice and cereal but no fresh or dried fruit available. The English breakfast was cooked well but without the option of tomatoes or mushrooms. The decor of the dining area and the crockery were not to my liking.Unfortunately people congregated underneath my window beyond midnight so it was rather noisy too. I chose the cheaper option and it was fine but if I go to Llandrindod again I will choose the more expensive hotel down the road.
No problems with stay. Room was clean and well equpped with tea/ coffee etc. No toiletries provided but did not expect them as price of room was very reasonable.
Parking a little difficult. Good breakfast.
Shower not very warm. Bedside lights not working. Comfortable bed. Corner worktop/ table top a bit sticky. Good value for money.
Well positioned in the town. Friendly staff.
Budget hotel and great value for money. Excellent breakfast, cleanliness great. Friendly staff.
Room very small but bed comfortable, tv in room and very grateful for ensuite. Some road noise. Always found somewhere to park on the road when car park full. However, it is advertised as a budget hotel so no complaints at all.
Stayed for 6 nights with 2 single rooms.
Sadly this is a very tired property.
Parking is problematic. The property corridors smell of raw sewerage (first floor). room was tired, bed was horrendous, extremely lumpy and a very small double, not at all comfortable. There was no soap nor shower gel etc. No useful items in room, i.e. hairdryer or iron. There was a kettle and 2 mugs but 'open' tea-bags which is just not hygienic.
Convenience, cheap and cheerful! Clean and tidy, basic, lovely breakfast! One issue, ceiling lights in room and en suite were not working, advised staff but nothing done. Spent the night using just side lights and mobile ohones!!
Ok overall however you get what u pay for.
Good stay over one night
Clean and basic
