Don't waste your money on this accommodation - it's overpriced and is in need of an upgrade.

The sliding door that's the entrance couldn't be moved properly, which is not safe at all. We were told to leave it open but all the cold and diesel smell could come in that way. We spent almost a day without heating, half a day without warm water and were told we could buy a sim card ourselves (which would be reimbursed by the owners) to have internet because the wifi wasn't working (we were told this was because of a data breach...).

The owner came to fix the heating without giving any notice and just went inside (apparently after knocking) while my friend was sleeping on the sofa. She was woken up by loud talking and noise - definitely breach of privacy.

The manager tried to make me feel guilty so I wouldn't complain to Booking, saying they wouldn't have any money left if they had to reimburse us. He said Booking took so much of them already, gave a genius discount without their approval and charged the wrong (lower) tax from guests which left them out of pocket. Why use Booking to list your accommodation if you're so unsatisfied with them...?
I spent too much time of my holiday messaging and on the phone with the manager to try and fix the things that were broken. I could go on and on but I think this is enough already. All in all it was a stressful and uncomfortable stay and we only got a little bit of travel credit from Booking as a compensation. Nothing from the owners.

Should have been told how hard it was to get in and out.

Diesel lucht

Eines der beiden Waschbecken im Bad war von Anfang an defekt, was aber nicht so schlimm ist, da es ja ein zweites gibt. Die Spülmaschine war leider völlig schwarz, da das Wasser nicht richtig ablaufen kann. Geschirr und Besteck war zwar reichlich da, aber nur eine einzige Müslischüssel und nur ein Suppenteller.

A little bit of maintenance is only lacking to make a perfect stay.

Only downside was a slight diesel smell that apparently is typical of house boats. It was very strong at first but the host investigated & fixed the problem but did say that some smell is normal as the water heater is run off of diesel.

Only other point to mention is that this is a boat - you have to walk down a gangway to enter. This was expected but can still be nerve-wracking especially with young children.

It was VERY difficult to get into: challenging walk way, oversized stairs which could be corrected by installing additional stairs.
