All fine. Good to have an iron in the room
We stayed over so we could be at a cremation nearby at 10 am. So not the best circumstances but it was nearby. The Art Deco windows in the restaurant are nicely double glazed so no traffic noise! The table-football machine may have been an original French model.
I've known this hotel since it was on the main A1. That road is now the A1M running in a tunnel underneath. But instead of staying in the iconic Comet Hotel we were in a new building at the back of the carpark. A short stroll in the rain away from breakfast! Dinner was poor, I remember looking through the rain over the roundabout to The Galleria thinking there must be somewhere better to eat in there.
Very good value for money. Staff very friendly. Restaurant food well prepared and good value.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful especially Paige and Dillon. The entire hotel was spotless. The food was amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, thought the staff were friendly, food decent, room was a good size and comfortable.
Location sandwiched between two major roads was the only draw back. Traffic noise in the room was noted, but to be fair wasn't in the room a great deal.
My room was lovely, spacious, clean and decorated beautifully.

We had our first ever issue with our shower not working and staff were quick to come and check it and get us moved. We appreciated the quick room change
