Für einen Kurzaufenthalt war es eine gute Wahl.
Pros:

Der Garten mit dem Schwimmbad ist richtig schön.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, aber es hat extrem nach Putzmittel gerochen und war es relativ klein, wobei das natürlich in der Beschreibung stand. Am Fenster gab es nur leider einen sehr hellen, relativ licht durchlässigen Vorhang

In die Jahre gekommenes, ruhig gelegenes Traditionshotel in ruhiger Lage sogar mit Pool
Pros:

Wir sind den Lahnradweg gefahren und haben ein Hotel gesucht, welches in Bahnhofsnähe und trotzdem ruhig liegt. Das Hotel Weinlaube erfüllt beide Bedingungen. Ein - nicht abgeschlossener - "Fahrradstall" ist vorhanden. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, ruhig und hatte einen Balkon mit Blick auf Pool und Rhein. Es gibt einen schönen Biergarten, der Außenpool ist im Sommer am Ende eines Rad- oder Wandertages "eine Wucht". Wir mußten vor Beginn der Frühstückszeit zum Zug, was kein Problem war. Das Frühstück bot alles, was man braucht. Bei allen Kontakten waren die Mitarbeitenden sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich - dafür 10 Punkte!

Cons:

Das Hotel ist auch Restaurant. Architektonisch ist das ganze Gebäude recht merkwürdig - man muß um ins Zimmer zu kommen durch den Veranstaltungsraum und einige Zimmer sind dann "direkt um die Ecke". An diesem Abend war eine Geburtstagsfeier - was dort wohl relativ häufig der Fall sein soll -, so daß man theoretisch immer hätte durch die Feier laufen müssen. Zusätzlich wurden alle Gäste schriftlich an der Rezeption aufgefordert, sich wegen der Feier eine Restaurant-Alternative im Ort zu suchen, was mangels akzeptablen Angebot für nicht-motorisierte Gäste nicht ganz einfach ist. Wir durften trotzdem dort essen. Die Speisekarten waren unprofessionell (ein Blatt in Klarsichthülle) und teilweise auch nicht alle Gerichte verfügbar ("Oh, Winterkarte, sorry"). Die Gerichte selber waren sehr einfach und dafür überteuert. Der auf der anderen Thekenseite vom Veranstaltungsbereich gelegene Speisebereich war zudem mit gammeligen alten Sitzmöbeln bestückt, die eher auf den Sperrmüll, als unter den Allerwertesten der Gäste gehören. Nicht nur, daß Vodafone offensichtlich in Koblenz ein Netzausbauproblem hat - also kaum Mobilfunkempfang - auch das WLAN war im Zimmer nur instabil erreichbar und hatte kaum Datenrate. Dies paßte auch zu den an der Außenwand hängenden Kabelinstallation, welche sicherlich nicht VDE-konform war. Fernsehempfang war passend zum Rest nur begrenzt möglich - viele Sender hatten "kein Signal". Nachrichten schauen daher Glückssache, ZDF war erst gar nicht vorgesehen.

Pros:

Ein schönes familiengeführtes Hotel mit Pool und schönem Garten. Freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Um in die Innenstadt von Koblenz zu kommen, muss man mobil sein oder mit dem fahren.
Das Hotel liegt ca. 8km von der Innenstadt entfernt.
