The paper bagged continental breakfast just does not do it for me.
Can’t the hotel do a deal with one of the lovely cafes/coffee shops in Lytham offering a discounted breakfast/brunch.

Everything was spot on, location, it was clean, good facilities and the little continental breakfast bag ! It l’a not staffed 24/7 but I don’t mundur. Yes at the weekend you can hear hustle and bustle outside but it didn’t bother me , I’ve slept like a baby. It’s excellent value for money and i would stay here again! I have stayed in a big hotel nearby before and it was not as clean as Mode..

The location is excellent and the rooms are well fitted out with nice extras like an umbrella and slippers etc.
This is my second stay here and again there was an issue with the heating, when I arrived the room was freezing. I called from the desk and the lovely lady did an over ride from her location. Unfortunately for the following two days when I woke up and returned around 8pm it was freezing, the thermostat showed 17c def not 21c I was advised it was set at.
After calling again it was reset and promised it would come on again in the morning when I woke at 6am but it didn't, the cleaning lady tried to help and put new batteries in the thermostat.
This constant issue made my stay so uncomfortable because the room was so cold.
The room could do with some window coverings/nets, I had to get dressed and do my make up etc with the curtains closed because the facing shops and people in the street can see right into the room.
The room could do with a maintenance check and deep clean the radiators and skirts are thick with dust and cobwebs. I have holiday lets on Booking.com and would expect the room to be spotless and any issues to be followed up without me having to call each day due to the recurring issues.
Position. The hotel is in an excellent position, very close to many stores and restaurants. The rooms, are comfortable
