I really liked the location of the Hybiscus Waterfront Apartment in Lakes Entrance. It’s right near the water and just a short walk to the cafés, restaurants and shops, which made it really easy to get around. The apartment felt clean and comfortable, and the bed was nice and cosy, so it was easy to relax after being out during the day. Overall it felt like a simple, easy place to stay with everything close by.

Cons:

Nothing really. We were very happy with it.

Pros:

It was everything we needed.
The kitchen was basic but ok
The TV and Sofa were pretty good.
The Bedroom and queen size bed was very good.
Laundry and bathroom were good.
We have a bigger SUV so were fortunate to get a great car park next to the grass area.
Most other parks were right outside the apartments.
The pool was great and I used it a lot.
Not to crowded.
The BBQ area looked good and clean but we didn't get to use it.
The location is right next to the North Arm of Lakes Entrance.
You can walk to the main shops in 10min.
The Surf beach is around 2kms away via the Cunninghame foot bridge.
But you can swim in the North arm if you don't mind muddy sort of beaches.
Much nicer is the small sandy beaches around Esplanade Head, a 15 min walk.
Overall we thought Hybiscus Apartments were really good!

Cons:

Leaky taps but you get that!
Early morning noise from people starting their cars outside the apartments close to yours.
And letting them idle for ages...
Overall though - pretty quiet!

Great location, comfy beds and handy facilities, would benefit from a deep clean.
Pros:

Nice location which was handy and fairly quiet, comfy beds, seemed to have all the basic facilities one would need if staying longer - we didn't use the kitchen too much nor the washing machine but handy to have it there if required. Kids loved the pool and was a nice sitting area.

Cons:

Although the linen was clean and fresh, the rest of the apartment could do with a deep clean (ie. sticky substance left on table, shower needed a good once over, few cobwebs in corner and garden needed a bit more upkeep with removal of weeds). Was nice if you didn't look too closely.

I had a very relaxing, quiet and enjoyable stay here.
Pros:

The booking proceeded smoothly. I wasn’t comfortable to provide registration details online, so I emailed a reply to the request and asked if I could provide those details over the phone. Had a fast and friendly reply email saying that I was welcome to do that. I phoned immediately and had friendly and efficient service from Libby. Only needed to supply credit details and license number to complete their information, since I had partly filled the online form before contacting her.

The remote check in was easy with the key in a key safe, for which I was texted the combination before arrival. The location was great with waterfront across the road and close to shops.

Inside the unit was thoughtfully decorated and well laid out. I loved the cushy leather recliners in my unit and there was a good range of cutlery, crockery and saucepans. The towels were thick,spotless and absorbent.

The bed was comfortable and firm and the unit is very quiet at night. There is a good range of pillows, thicker, thinner, softer and firmer, so I was able to have the combination I needed for the best sleep.

I loved the sisal-look rug and the rustic accessories like the cane mirror frame and bedhead, the sisal table mat and the leaf wall decoration. The decor was just right for an older building and the atmosphere was casual, comfortable and fun. I will book here again in future.

Cons:

Everything was very clean, except the kitchen exhaust fan cover and the pipe behind the washing machine, which was visible when using the bathroom basin. 😕 Minor faults, but a little more attention to detail would have turned the cleanliness from “great” into “perfect.” The lower left corner of the living room mesh blind was also very grubby, but no fault of the cleaners here because it’s hard to see until the blockout blind is closed at night. The catch on the security door was faulty too.
