Pros:

Stunning location on East side of Gili Air. Room was comfortable, clean and pool lovely. Consider very good value for money. Access to beach fantastic for snorkelling with Turtles. Highlight of our stay was restaurant/beach bar at the front of bungalows. Huge shout out to Bee and Agus for looking after us throughout our stay!

Pros:

Awesome spot on the beach with turtles right outside. Able to hire cheap snorkel equipment (albeit old) next door. Great breakfast and great restaurant food. Lovely pool.

Cons:

We stayed in the family room. Bamboo thin walls. No sound insulation but other rooms looked to be concrete so would be fine. Really firm beds. Noisy aircon. Cats fighting in the night.

PROS
• Karisma Bistro: Linked restaurant/bar across the street with good food/drinks and an unadvertised guest discount. Loungers are closer to the water, allowing for sun past noon contrary to nearby other places. Credit card added fees are marginal (less than the usual 3% and largely compensated by the guest discount)
• Location & Fitness: Access to sunrise (Blue Sail at 6 AM) and sunset (Legend Bar 5 mins west). Amazing gym 5 minutes away with affordable week passes.
• Turtles: Absolute highlight! 50k IDR for all-day gear rental next door; huge turtles right in front of the hotel (best in morning and around 4 PM).
• Vibe & Comfort: Friendly staff with a constant "welcome home" when returning. 24/7 AC (no key card required to save energy), solid Wi-Fi (except at the beach where it doesn’t reach), amazing smelling towels, large bathroom, and plenty of hangers. Included breakfast is limited but delicious

CONS
• Room Essentials: Bed is hard and a bit uncomfortable with only a thin blanket. Most of all, it’s missing a safe, a fridge and hairdryer—adding these would be a game changer
• Arrival: 20-minute walk from the harbor with 20kg luggage is brutal in the heat; a competitive hotel shuttle would easily beat overpriced horse carts
• Maintenance & Logic: Creaky doors and cracks that let in a few mosquitoes; cabinets have locks but no keys were provided
• Service Gaps: Staff missed an accidental early checkout 🤦🏻 but also they don't provide/rent bikes and quoted 3x the harbour price for a Gili T transfer (instead of offering a third-party referral)

Loved Alibaba. Would love to come again. This is the perfect area of Gili Air. Special time.

Terrific place, really loved staying at Alibaba. Very close to beach. Staff fantastic, Aloha on the front desk was really friendly and helpful.
Bee at the restaurant out front was a great guy and sold me the precious stone around his neck. Thank you.

Super séjour à Albaba Bungalow
Pros:

Hôtel tout près de la plage. Le restaurant se trouve sur la plage juste en face des tortues qui nagent tout près. Super hôtel avec des enfants. Très calme en février.

Cons:

La chambre était un peu sombre mais comme on était tout le temps dehors, ce n'était pas rédhibitoire

Un petit bout de paradis
Pros:

Quelle merveille: se lever le matin et aller directement dans l’eau voir les tortues juste devant nous. On a tellement aimé y séjourner qu’on a rallongé notre séjour.
Le personnel était toujours souriant, rapide, gentil vraiment on se sentait comme à la maison.
La nourriture était très bonne ! La connexion wifi top si vous travaillez. On pouvait alterner avec la super piscine également. Vous pouvez louer directement sur place masque et tuba pour aller voir les tortues.

Cons:

La chambre aurait besoin d’un rafraîchissement, mais c’est pas très dérangeant comparé à tout ce qu’il y a déjà !

Pros:

Perfect stay in paradise
Pros:

Great location slightly away from the main town in front of a beautiful quiet beach perfect for snorkelling. A very chilled place, comfortable , easy to walk to everything. The staff in both the hotel and the attached restaurant in front are all really nice and helpful. I extended my stay many times, it was hard to leave.

Het was er heerlijk, goed en fijn personeel, behulpzaam!!

Het was een leuk huisje , leuke ligging, mooie tuin, sfeervol, lekker ontbijt, leuk terras aan zee!

Cons:

De verlichting was minimaal, geen leeslamp bij de bedden, er was maar één centrale lamp. Ook buiten was er slechte verlichting, het licht schijnt naar boven. In plaats van naar beneden waardoor je ook geen boek kan lezen. De deuren sloten niet en deur kon niet op slot. Beide makkelijk op te lossen.
