Simple Life Motel

My screen door literally kept falling off an I kept having to go get staff because it was sooo heavy , even at 1 am I had to leave my room to get a staff member across the street at the hotel right in front of them. Because my screen door constantly fell off. An it's not a regular screen door it's metal frame an glass

Was a very scroungy and dilapidated property. Stains on wall, rusted amenities, door did not lock properly, fire alarm missing/ripped from wall, holes in wall, outdated tv. A staff member barged into the room without warning (lock didn’t work- this review doesn’t let me upload the video) and walked in on me and my significant other in an inappropriate moment which caused the entire trip to be on edge, absolutely killed the mood for days, all they did was say sorry. Loud noise of people walking by unmitigated by thin walls right outside room. Was a horrible experience for an inflated price. Absolutely do not recommend

The back wouldn’t slide up right, it was hard to pull open, chair outside was broken, beds were hard, the shower was small, tv kept going in and out and had a line going through it

Picture shown of building may have been when it first opened, its now totally sun bleached. Toilet was loose and ran all night. Room was not sound proof, we heard "everything". Balcony with ocean view was not a balcony because we were on the ground floor with a view of the street. Faulty Power cord was plugged in behind the bed and when I went to plug in my cpap it shorted out and almost electrocuted me. When we addressed this with the front desk, we were only met with "not our cord/never seen that before " no accountability.

Towels were dirty/stained pillow also had stains. No outlets and had extension cords ran. Stains on the lamps and ceiling tiles. Sliding door to balcony was hard to open/close and didn’t lock right. Window in bathroom had the screen torn. Tv was very generic cable. Very small parking lot.

Where do I even start? HORRIBLE staff. Room was absolutely DISGUSTING. 1 mattress had mold all over it, the other had stains. Both beds were NOT clean. Both had sand, crumbs, hair, stains. 1 outlet that we all had to share, and it was across the room. The front door wouldn’t lock properly. The sliding door wouldn’t slide. The tv was stuck on 2 channels and had lines going down the tv. The bathroom had a dirty old washcloth still hanging on the shower rod. We ran out of the half a roll of toilet paper that we started with, and couldn’t get a hold of anyone to get more so we bought some. And can’t forget the dead bed bug laying under the bed.

I got a kitchenette room it had the pots and plates but no utensils to cook with.

Checking in was confusing as check in took place at a different hotel.
