Don't pass over The Gyle!
Pros:

I was completely pleasantly surprised by my stay at The Gyle! First and foremost, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. After staying in a "5-star" name-brand hotel in Mayfair for a week, my two nights at The Gyle were so much nicer and more comfortable. The breakfast service was lovely, and the lounge was nice to work in, with plenty of outlets and a charming, welcoming vibe. Steps away from St. Pancras and Kings Cross, it was easy to get around, with tons of dining options nearby.

Cons:

Not applicable. Everything was great.

Kort verblijf, maar heel aangenaam - en vriendelijk personeel 24/24
Pros:

De locatie vlakbij St Pancras station was geweldig voor waar we moesten zijn. De kamer was aangenaam en rustig gelegen.

Cons:

Het was erg warm op de kamer met de ramen dicht, maar verluchten kon snel

Excellent find! A beautiful location and cosy room.
Pros:

Boutique style, friendly staff and beautiful decor. We really enjoyed our stay

Cons:

It would be nice to have one bright light in the too
. The dim lighting creates a beautiful ambiance, but for reading and applying makeup a brighter light setting would have been amazing

Stylish but wouldn’t return.
Pros:

It was stylish and small with a boutique feel.

Cons:

The location felt unsafe - in 24 hours we were in the middle of a knife crime incident, and saw people taking drugs (one injected next to the hotel)
The breakfast wasn’t very good. It wasn’t even continental - very poor. I’ve had a better selection in cheaper hotels. Also, it was hidden up in fridges and we were not told about anything, just ‘yeh sit anywhere and help yourself’ - to the two pastries left and scraping of the bottom of the porridge pot.

Pros:

A cosy hotel with great decor, conveniently located close to King’s Cross. The room was quiet overall, with only a little noise from neighbouring guests entering their rooms, though it felt slightly small for longer stays. The breakfast was simple but good, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and there were thoughtful extras such as complimentary hot drinks at reception and umbrellas available to borrow.

Cons:

The guest toilet was fine, and the bathroom in our room was a bit small, with doors that were somewhat difficult to use.
