the room was so musty smelling, it completely turned us off of the hotel. the handle was broken on the door, very hard to open.

Pros:

The people that worked the front desk

Cons:

Disgusting, not kept well, everything was chipping and peeling. Toilet had hair on it when we arrived. Room smelt bad. Asked to move to another room. Wasn’t much cleaner but at least it didn’t stink.

Location. Pool was great. Rooms very spacious.

Cons:

Front desk staff not very friendly. Lobby is kept dark with lights off at all times except for breakfast. We were a large group and wanted to play some games in the lobby area and when we asked if the lights could be turned on we were flatly told “no, only during breakfast”. A nice big space that was made very uninviting and unusable.

Clean and great location-worth the stay for the low price.
Pros:

The property was clean and in a very good location. Close to major highways and plenty of shops/restaurants only a short drive away.

Cons:

Though very clean and well kept, it was very dated and our room had poor ventilation- no fan in the bathroom. Very dim lighting.

Best as a central location for your Harrisburg area trip.
Pros:

An excellent central location outside the city with easy access to all points of interest via the interstates, or better yet, the local roads if you wish to avoid the traffic. (Route 39 or Nyes Road are your best friends, depending on your direction) With that....

Remembering the hotel is decades old, the interior upkeep is to standards, the complimentary breakfast more than enough to start your day although it can get a touch cramped as the room is small. Pool clean, laundry available, "stuff I forgot to bring" available at the desk, pet friendly. Parking is plentiful and the area is safe; I walked many times around the place late in the evening and felt fine. Groceries across the street, food choices galore, try the sandwich shop next door, primitive but delicious. A very convenient set of steps is located in the back of the parking lot which will more or less take you up to the convenience store, watch for the poison ivy though on that edge of the lot. Staff more than helpful, top marks there.

Again, a top choice pricewise and location for Hershey and other attractions. Oh, rooms are cemetery quiet, had a family next door for a couple nights and heard nothing, zilch, zero. Only, and I mean only, less than stellar point was the wi-fi tended to be a bit below standards of today, but it did work. Go, book with confidence and enjoy your trip!

Cons:

Room had a big centipede crawling. We asked for room change. We got another room where the wash basin sink was clogged. The hotel staff handed us a dirty plunger so we could fix the sink! Then, on the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off. We rushed out to find out that rain water seeped into the system and cause the alarm to start.
