Le Centell Hotel & Spa

Je ne suis pas habitué à faire ce genre de retour mais je vous doit de vous prévenir ..
La chambre attribuée (et je pense même toutes) est malheureusement exposée à de fortes nuisances sonores (boîte de nuit à côté de l’immeuble, puis travaux dès 6h30 du matin), ce qui a rendu le repos impossible.
De plus, la présence de nombreux moustiques dans la chambre (et l’ascenseur) a provoqué une d’énormes réactions physique chez mon compagnon.
Nous espérions un séjour reposant avant notre vol long courrier mais l’expérience n’a pas été à la hauteur.
Dommage, car l’établissement aurait du potentiel avec quelques améliorations.
J’attends toujours un retour suite au mail transmis suite à ma réclamation.

Camera molto grande,ottima colazione.
Posizione centrale ma la sera con il buio poco rassicurante.

Nuitée du vendredi particulièrement bruyant e avec la boîte de nuit juste en dessous ..

We enjoyed the spa, the staff and the bar. The city can be overwheling and the helpful staff coordinated transport, and facitotates great relaxation in the pool and spa. Wonderful time.

Bonne literie, chambre propre, la femme qui m'a fait le repassage est sympa et la plupart du personnel était top.
Exceptée la femme à l'accueil qui n'est pas du tout souriante, ou sourit seulement à certains clients pas à tout le monde en tout cas! ( ou peut-être parceque j'étais vêtue modestement ? Les clients doivent être traités de la même manière). Au prix qu'on paie et tenant compte du nombre d'étoiles, on s'attend à un bon accueil, personne souriante à l'accueil.
Du buffet, au petit déjeuner, j'ai apprécié particulièrement le "vary amin'anana" (typique de Madagascar). Pour ça ne changez rien.

The AC in our room ‘stopped working’ every night, coincidentally at the same time and for the same number of hours despite the electricity still going…
And even if you tell reception, they do nothing to fix it.
Would not recommend, better off in a hotel that doesn’t cut ac during peak summer for their guests.

Nice and large room. The AC was not as powerful as I expected. The refrigerator was not working. Restaurants have good food selection.

Stayed for two weeks at Le Centell. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. However, one of the pillowcase was smelly and nothing was done when I informed housekeeping. There are frequent power outage which is normal in Antananarivo. But what I fail to understand is why the room does not have emergency rechargeable lamp/torch. This would be really helpful in preventing accident.
Avoid eating at Le Goa, some of the staff members are rude in particular the night cashier and the restaurant manager. There will be an extra charge even if you have not exceed your meal allowance. The food is bland. Limited choices for breakfast. Lack of hygiene as the cheese, butter, bread and charcuterie are not properly covered thus you can see flies on the ham and cheese. Also, saw a rat in the restaurant while having lunch.
However, you do have excellent dishes and service at La Canopée. The staff members are nice and friendly. Even the restaurant manager is polite and welcoming.
Despite the negative points, I managed to spend 2 weeks over there because of the cozy bedroom, indoor pool and La Canopée.

Spent our last night in Madagascar at the Centell. Room was big and comfortable but we had some annoying issues that were unexpected from a supposed "luxury" hotel.

Only 1 towel in the room and no hand towel. The safe battery was flat so our valuables were locked in after I tested it and left for dinner. The shower leaked water out onto the bathroom floor soaking the bathmat as the fall on the tiles in the shower did not direct water into the drain.

The dinner at the Goa restarant was disappointing. My main course was weird with a crispy fried inedible chicken ball and ghee laden rice. The starter was fine thankfully. My husband's vegetable biryiani was bland. I asked for a glass of red wine with my meal but was told I could only order a bottle! But they have a bar upstairs so could surely have asked for one to be brought down. Disappointing.

Service was SO much better in all the lodges we stayed in during the rest of our trip as they went out of the way to make everything special for my 60th birthday.

Breakfast in the morning was much better with a great choice and lots of fresh fruit and yoghurt.

The staff was friendly, the property is great and well maintained, the room was spacious and super clean, the gym and spa are functional, the hotel is conveniently located and the food is just fantastic. And despite all these, the price was reasonable. Honestly one of my best hotel experiences so far. I highly recommend them!

Problème en arrivant dans la chambre il n’y avait aucunes serviettes à l’intérieur donc chambre pas préparé à l’arrivée du client ( pas de serviettes de bain ni de serviettes de toilettes)
Et puis aussi j’ai trouvé qu’il ne faisait pas très chaud j’ai mis la clim à 32 mais il faisait toujours aussi froid le soir et dans la salle de bain pas génial c’est glagla à l’intérieur sinon pour le reste de bons équipements quand même mais je préfère la chambre familiale prise il y a 2 ans je reprendrais celle ci avec le balcon

The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms are large with comfortable bed, but many of the lights in our room were burnt out, there was a lot of hair from previous guests in the shower, and we had to remind them to clean our room when it had been forgotten and not cleaned by 4pm.

The minute you walk in the lobby, you can smell bad odors, they don't turn the AC on in the lobby...my first room, the air was broken and they knew it, it was so hot, they blamed it on the small window. Then I moved to a nice room and everything was fine. The restaurant was excellent and the indoor pool was great...

overall the hotel was spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located, the desk girl was the absolute worst, she could not speak English, but demanded she did and no one else was available to help us but her, we needed a taxi to the airport, she either didn't understand that or chose to ignore us, luckily after 20 min someone came by who did understand us and called us a taxi, she was also the one who demanded we pay our fees when we checked in after a delayed flight at 6 in the morning, she treated us as if we were untrustworthy or unworthy to be there because we were American and did not speak french.

Fantastic Hotel, Spa & Accommodation. Fully recommended. Spacious Rooms. Three Bars, Three Restaurants & a much needed spa. All in the heart of Antananarivo. Easy access to little places in the capital. Friendly and helpful staff to support your stay

Good vacation in this hôtel, good service spa massage , piscine , salle de sport , sauna , hammam. Good localisation in Tana. Good service, good cleanliness, good value and good room but circulation of automobile is So bad .

Ma famille et moi avons beaucoup apprécié le séjour…
