A truly magnificent hotel — if this isn’t heaven, then heaven must be very close. From the very first moment, the experience was flawless. We received a wonderful welcome from Khun Peter and Khun Ae, setting the tone for a stay filled with warmth and kindness.
The check-in team stole our hearts: Khun Cookie, Khun Mimi, Khun Petine, and Khun Pop - each one radiating genuine hospitality and making us feel instantly at home ❤️
We savored the last golden rays of sunshine at the Monkey Bar, where the service was nothing short of exceptional. Khun Wasana, Khun Mai, Khun Pheung and Khun Ron made every moment memorable with their attentiveness and bright smiles 🥰
To housekeeping, the bell boys, and all the wonderful people whose names I may have unintentionally forgotten: Khop Khun kha - thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕
We can’t wait to return and meet you again kha 💖

We love this place despite its modest self-rated three stars, with just one small pool, a single restaurant, and simple rooms with polished-concrete floors. Perhaps it’s the dramatic cliffs, the friendly cats, the coastal walks, or the breezy beach that make it so unforgettable. The staff were outstanding—thank you K. Mai, K. Peaw, K. Pueng, K. Best, K. Teerarat, and K. Mimi—for making our stay so special. We had a wonderful time.
Location was awesome rather paradise on earth
& definitely the resort was good too , food, amenities , service , cleanliness , maintenance etc all was super good
Peaceful & calm
We had the best room Beachfront villas king & it had the best views
The room is all glass walls which gives a 180 degree view from your bed
This hotel was amazing. We were warmly welcome by front desk staff (Pop,Preaw,Petai) Many thanks to Khun Ae , Khun Fiew for taking care of us begining climbing. And heartfelt thanks to the restaurant staff ( Phung , Mind , Tar , Ron and Chef Cris) for the absolutely delicious meals and the top-notch service that made our experience unforgettable. And most importantly, we'd like to thank you Khun Peter for the warm care and for treating us like family .All of them make our wonderful trip❤️🥰🥰
Amazing beach in a surreal setting. The property can use a bit more maintenance. The room was great, and the food was delicious. Breakfast could have had a few more options.
A must stay. I think I want my wedding here. Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful with amazing food and service!! TOP NOTCH!!
Quiet and not crowded at all. Staff are friendly.
One of my favourite places ive stayed to date. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are fabulous and spacious. They have filtered water foe drinking in the room. And lots of relaxing vignettes. Its a stunning property.
Pros:
- Secluded from major touristy areas
- Rooms are great
- Bed was super comfortable
- Nice nature / surrounding area
Cons:
- Service (unresponsive upon arrival / throughout the stay, house keeping did not take dirty dishes, towels or trash)
- You are secluded (also a major pro, but worth noting that if you are hoping to leave at night, not possible & pretty challenging to leave / explore during the day as well unless you are willing to pay the boat drivers double)
Overall, this place did not have a good value for us. I think we would have had equal amenities/service at a hostel. It was fine but we would not book again.
Having stayed and worked at many hotels in Asia, this is my new favourite place. The staff were amazing, the location spectacular and the welcome everything you could hope for and more. We had a wonderful 3 days here and my children wished we had stayed longer. They loved the rock climbing trip and seeing the monkeys was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Thailand. The public areas are beautifully kept and the concept is very well done - sort of backpacker huts on the beach combined with luxury and class. I loved it and I am picky!
We will definitely be back.
Just returned.
The past week at Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach Krabi was a great retreat to getaway and chill. The staff, especially Mai at the Monkey bar and the reception staff were just exceptionally friendly and professional too. We will be back soon! - So people you want to getaway to Thailand with minimal fuss and peace, but at the epicentre to Krabi, then Tinidee is a great place to be.
We have stayed five nights in this hotel.
Let me start with the location: wow wow wow. The location is superb, it looks like a postcard. Amazing. Everyday I was amazed.
The resort is 3* hotel and that's also the true. The rooms are also nice but warm. There is AC in the bedroom, but the bathroom and hallway is quite warm. Beds are on the soft side. Internet is fast when it works. Rooms are well maintained.
The pool area is nice, enough sunbeds. Pool is cool and has jacuzzi option.
The least about the resort was the breakfast (not worth waking up for unless you are hungry). The staff at the bar/restaurant was not up to the notch. The food was good and best option at Tonsai (not in Thailand though). The staff at the reception was amazing, especially Peaw (or Paew, appologies).
Be prepared to walk some distance (also through the water) with your luggage... take some good watershoes.
Bottomline: we have enjoyed our stay. This hotel has a huge potential to become really amazing hotel.
This is definitely the nicest place to stay on Tonsai Beach, it’s been over 20 years since I’ve been here and I hardly recognized it at all, a lot has changed. For such a nice place, the transportation here needs to be improved. Getting dropped off on the beach with no one to help you get to the resort is a bad way to start ( they do help you leave, but not arrive!) I had booked my stay here months ago, last year in fact. I was only able to make two separate bookings, similar rooms, and similar prices. I made it through booking.com which I use all the time, and was trying to stay in the same room. The hotel was no help in all trying to complete this simple task of keeping me in the same room, even when a room became available, I was unable to reach them to change the reservation. I was paying almost $200 a night! You should get better customer service for that price.
Angelica made my stay frustrating and miserable. She was working the front desk and so condescending, argumentative and rude, if I had a way to leave I would have. The manager or owner or whoever she was, was no better. They obviously don’t care about making their guests happy since they are always booked full because of the lack of choices on the island of places to stay.
It’s a shame, because the bungalows are very nice, and comfortable. The facilities are nice too and so was all the serving staff. The food wasn’t that great, and the breakfast disappointing. For that price I expected more.I would not recommend this place to anyone, even if it’s the only place to stay decent on Tonsai. Too complicated to get to, and no warm welcome while you’re there. Save your money and stay somewhere wise! There’s plenty of nice places on Railey Beach!
The property was amazing, the staff were wonderful, the only problem was the transportation to the resort… we had to take long boat transportation and the tide gets low in the afternoons so if you wanted to hang out at other beaches you had to come back early because then no longboats can take you… if u choose to stay there all of your stay then great but if you want to venture around then not recommended.. plus the long tail taxi men are rude and rushing you to get out and can cause you to get injured like I did… but the property itself and staff was amazing
We loved our stay at Tinidee! Our favourite hotel in Thailand so far. The staff were so friendly and service was excellent. The food and cocktails were very good. Our beachfront cabana was wonderful. Such a beautiful scenic location still close to everything, we would love to stay here again!
We are staying at the resort at the moment in one of the sea view king deluxe rm 6. WE LOVE IT HERE .The photos of the hotel are old. The hotel is much better than it shows. There’s a new decking area with a small bar, plenty of areas to either sit or lounge by the pool. The breakfast is wonderfully there is an egg station where the chef makes any kind of eggs required. There also a small buffet area with Thai choice or fresh fruit. The staff are wonderful so warm and friendly outside of he hotel around the back you will find local restaurants to choose from . The beach can be a little busy when the long tail boats come in from A Nang beach for the day trippers and rock climbers but when they have gone it is paradise. The views from the hotel out to the sea are spectacular a true picture of Thailand. We would highly recommend this hotel for a get away from it all destination
The scenery is amazing, so I am giving one extra star for that... but otherwise this place could definitely be better for the price.
1) They did not provide any towels, coffee, etc the next day.
2) The shower doesn't drain very well.
3) One of the two water glasses in the room fell over and broke (because all floors and counters are concrete), and then they never replaced it.
4) The main dishes they had for breakfast didn't have vegetarian options. The first day, the sign said "vegetable noodles" but was wrong, and had big chunks of chicken in it. Also, much of the breakfast food was tepid, sitting out at room temperature.
5) The wifi and power sometimes went out (a big problem when it affects the AC!)
6) You have to walk around the grounds quite a bit, and there are dangerous pieces of garbage/industrial detritus around, like rusty metal hidden in the grass.
7) People go to the pool and "stake a claim" on the sun loungers by putting their towels there, selfishly reserving them for themselves all day, even though they aren't there.
8) Food and drinks are twice the price of nearby places in Tonsai or Railay
9) I had to cancel the last night of our stay, because the boats required to get here don't leave early enough to catch morning flights. I tried to change reservation weeks in advance, and they wouldn't change it (despite "free cancellation" policy) so I had to pay over 5000 baht for a night I wasn't even there.
Absolutely stunning views of the sea and islands and the mountains.
The staff are delightful and can’t do enough for you.
Only 16 villas. Eco friendly resort.
Air con units with en-suite facilities, tea and coffee, fridge and safe.
Everything you need for a total chill out.
Perfect for you to read and forget about everything. You need to get a boat to anything more livelier but as we just came from all that it suited us to have the peace and quiet.
Definitely coming back here. Give it a try. Not somewhere to party!
The scenery is amazing, so I am giving one extra star for that... but otherwise this place could definitely be better for the price. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have a water filter in the room, but I'm going to highlight some of the issues;
1) Despite putting out the "make up room" sign on the door, they skipped our room and did not provide any towels, coffee, etc the first day.
2) The shower doesn't drain very well.
3) One of the two water glasses in the room fell over and broke (because all floors and counters are concrete), and then they never replaced it. They left us with one glass for the remainder of our stay, which is pretty ridiculous. (Especially when the glass costs about 150 baht, and we spent over 5000 baht per night to stay here.)
4) The main dishes they had for breakfast didn't have vegetarian options. Thefjrst day, the sign said "vegetable noodles" but was wrong, and had big chunks of chicken in it. Also, much of the breakfast food was tepid, sitting out at room temperature (the hash browns were cold, and fried eggs were left out for at least an hour with no heat or refrigeration.)
5) The wifi and power sometimes went out. Usually this was short, but at one point our AC seemed to completely shut down and never came back on, making the room unbearably hot, and we had to get their maintenance crew to fix it.
6) You have to walk around the grounds quite a bit, and there are dangrous pieces of garbage/industrial detritus around. My wife and I tripped on rusty metal metal/wire garbage pieces that were sticking out of the grass, and were lucky that they didn't cut us.
7) People go to the pool and "stake a claim" on the sun loungers by putting their towels there, selfishly reserving them for themselves all day, even though they aren't there at the pool. The staff should not allow this.
8) The cocktails and restaurant are pretty pricey, so we didn't pay for them (food and drinks nearby or at Railay are half the price)
9) Getting to and from this location is somewhat difficult... you must take a longboat to get there, which means wading out i to the water with your luggage. Also, the boats basically only run sunrise to sunset, which caused a problem due to a morning flight...
10) Because of this, I had to book a different hotel for our last night but, despite saying our reservation (through Expedia) had free cancellation, they wouldn't let us cancel the last night of the stay. We contacted them weeks in advance, and they said we had to go through Expedia... but when we contaxted Expedia, they said we had to go through the hotel. So, everybody told us it couldn't be done... we could only cancel the entire stay, or nothing at all. This is unacceptable, and cost us more than 5000 baht.
Oh wow! Anne and I caught ourselves saying this over and over, either walking around the property or on our deck. Beauty was everywhere. Colors, sounds, nature.
We were on our honeymoon, no one knew, no one suspected (we are in our 60s) but everyone here treated us like they all knew. Just the most peaceful people to be around. We were there for 7 nights, and that was too short of a stay!
The room was exceptional. Clean! Spacious! Plenty of space. We had a shared unit, but we were separated by a thick wall, so never heard anybody else, just seen in passing. Our side was very well laid out. Glass on 3 sides (heavy curtains :) in the bedroom, and a spacious shower/bathroom area. Tinidee has filtered water for drinking, something we didn't have in Bangkok, so a nice surprise. Glass was so clean that I always had to be careful to not walk into them.
We sat outside on our covered deck often, rain or shine. And enough room of to hang our clothes on their foldout drying rack. We were directly facing the beach several units away from the pool. So peaceful and quiet. Except for the Mynah birds whom we came to know and love.
Traveling in November, 2024, the weather was fantastic. A few drizzles. Great air conditioning! Breakfast was very nice and peaceful, and dinner here is excellent. No crowds! We walked to Railay Beach. Ugh. Crowds.
Tonsai Beach also has the back loop for wonderful bars and food. The coolest vibe outside of Jamaica I've ever witnessed.
Thank you!!!!
