Clean, quiet, convenient hotel in nice location.
Pros:

Nice, convenient location. Quiet room. Well organized. Great shower with good water pressure. Filtered water faucet and ice easily available. I slept well, it was clean...! I will come back when in the area.

Cons:

Don't be put off by the lobby. It is very small, but if you aren't looking for a lobby experience, it is fine!

The staff was warm and welcoming. My room was ready when I arrived, along with chocolate covered strawberries (we were celebrating a birthday).
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention… location, location, location!

Cons:

I didn’t like the running toilet in my room. I also disliked that I had to log in to my own streaming platforms to watch tv. Having to scan/rescan several times during my stay annoyed me.

Not the best place for children. Too pricey for any stay.
Pros:

It was too expensive, so we went elsewhere for breakfast. I thought it was included whenI booked the hotel, but I was wrong.

Cons:

We had a large group - two adults and three children. We used the pull-out sofa, but the maid never made it for us. I had to make my own bed!!!

Komme ich wieder nach Washington D.C., werde ich schauen, ob es im Hotel Madeira wieder ein Zimmer für diese Zeit gibt.
Pros:

Sehr großes Zimmer, das gemütlich eingerichtet ist. die Nähe zu Metro Station Dupont Circle ist sehr praktisch, um mobil in der Stadt zu sein. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist nicht gerade günstig, aber sehr lecker und mit ultrafreundlicher Bedienung.

Cons:

Auf dem Flur kann man sich selber Wasser (still oder mit Sprudel) abfüllen. Ich persönlich würde Wasser in Trinkflaschen bevorzugen. Aus Deutschland stört mich einfach dieser kleine Chlor Beigeschmack.
