Very disappointing experience with the Front Desk Manager. Her demeanor was rude,combative, and nasty during the "Waye Family Reunion". She did not appear to handle pressure well and failed to demonstrate the patience, professionalism, and hospitality expected from someone in a management position.
Extremely Disappointing Management Experience
My experience with the Front Desk Manager was extremely disappointing. Her demeanor was rude, nasty, confrontational, and unprofessional. What concerned me most was the way she handled herself when faced with pressure and a frustrated guest.
Rather than making the guest feel heard and assisted, her approach made the situation more uncomfortable and confrontational. A manager should be setting the standard for the front desk team, particularly during challenging circumstances.
Overall: 1 out of 5 stars. The attitude and handling of the situation significantly impacted my perception of the property and its leadership.
As I am in town for a church convocation, we stayed at the Doubletree and I am so glad we did.
Upon walking in and getting to the desk, I was greeted by Santrel and Tanika. Both ladies greeted us and welcomed us in. Santrel was who ended up assisting me and when I say WOW!! Santrel provided a stellar customer service experience. She checked in all 7 of my rooms. She engaged in conversation while efficiently executing the check-ins and she kept a smile the entire time.
Oftentimes people are fast to complain, however, I want to celebrate Santrel for an exemplary customer service experience.
Once checked in I headed to my room and was very happy with the look, cleanliness, size, and comfort of the bed. It was worth every penny. I fell in love with the plushness of the King Size bed.
During my stay I had a few questions about coffee (yes, coffee) and interacted with Latoya. Hear me clearly, Latoya continued the standards of great customer service as initially introduced with Santrel. Her warm smile, calm tone, and engaging service deserves recognition as well.
All in all… My experience at this property was amazing. The room. The pool. The location, and best of all, the SERVICE.

Bert! is amazing, great person to chat with and makes the Best iced Carmel lattes in the area! Thanks for supplying myself and the wife with the good coffee and caffeine we much needed!

Never again a Hilton Hotel
My stay here was lovely!! The ambience is beautiful, my bed was soft and comfy, and looking out the window made me feel like I was in a resort. But the Star of the show was my coffee experience !!! As I checked out this morning I stopped by the coffee shop near the front desk. This wonderful fellow by the name of Bert made my Latte and my day!!! Both were delightful…best coffee I’ve had in a while!!! I left here smiling, and definitely plan to return. Thanks DoubleTree and Bert for the wonderful experience. 💙✈️🌐
