Me encantó la ubicación, el servicio y las instalaciones. Dormí increíble …!!!
No tengo palabras suficientes para agradecer el trato recibido durante nuestra estancia. Nos encantó TODO: la atención de del personal, la habitación, el desayuno y las instalaciones. En conjunto, todo hace que la experiencia haya sido realmente excepcional. Entre todas las opciones que ofrece Mérida, este lugar es una auténtica joya. Aprovecho para enviar un abrazo muy fuerte a Carla y a todo el equipo, que son personas maravillosas.

The bed was comfortable. There was a coffee maker and bathroom was nice. The little swimming pool was refreshing. Good location.
The staff were friendly and lovely.
I paid £178 for 2 nights for a small windowless room. The wooden 'window' did not have glass so there was absolutely no privacy. I did not enjoy my stay.
I very rarely make a complaint but this was not a comfortable room for the amount I paid. I didn't realise that at the time.

Zimmer eher spartanisch, nur ein kleines Wasser, keine Gläser, nur auf mehrmaliges Bitten 2. Decke mehr Handtücher. Frühstück gut, aber wenig Auswahl (z.B. kein Saft)
äusserst angenehmes kleines privates hotel in bester zentraler lage, innenhof mit kleinem pool, alles sehr gepflegt. das personal ist grossartig, freundlich und zuvorkommend ! mit der erfahrung vieler reisejahre in verschiedensten laendern eines der sympathischesten hotels. in jeder weise zu empfehlen, insbesondere wenn man private persoenliche atmosphere bevorzugt. 5 sterne!

The day staff was very helpful and went out of her way to offer suggestions and get reservations. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional. Breakfast in courtyard was very nice

Merida is a large city with many large hotels. Casa Tavera is a small hotel in a perfect location, so you can choose based on your preferences. For us, the small hotel choice was the right choice. The staff was very welcoming and helpful; the rooms were spotlessly clean and airy; the breakfasts were made to order and delicious; and the management arranged for tours of the Mayan temples, the cenotes, and the haciendas of the sisal barons. The air conditioning worked very well, which is important in that area. The pool is small but refreshing after a long day in the sun. Although the owner is not on the property always, we were fortunate and had lots of informative interactions with her. The location was ideal for walking to either a broad boulevard that has museums and a lot of restaurants or a major street in the opposite direction that had the cathedral, a major plaza, and more restaurants. We had a great time and would definitely return.
We stayed in the huge Presidential Suite, and its only drawback was an occasional lapse of the hot water in the shower.

El alojamiento fue muy decepcionante. Pagamos la habitación más cara de las suite que tienen (la suite presidencial) y resultó ser, con diferencia, la peor estancia de todo el viaje.
Lo único ligeramente positivo es la ubicación.
Quisimos marcharnos después de la primera noche debido al estado del alojamiento, pero no nos ofrecieron ninguna solución ni alternativa. Como “compensación” nos ofrecieron regalar dos camisas para mi pareja y yo, sin valor, que no deben costar ni 100 pesos.
Lo que debían ser las dos mejores noches del viaje se convirtieron en un auténtico calvario.
NO LO RECOMENDAMOS A NADIE.

La limpieza fue inexistente: todo estaba extremadamente sucio. El jacuzzi no se pudo utilizar, estaba muy descuidado, sucio y además no funcionaba correctamente.
El trato del personal fue pésimo.
El desayuno incluido es muy pobre y triste.
La suite presidencial no tiene nada que ver con las características que aparecen en Booking.
Es, sin duda, el peor alojamiento de todo el viaje, y no se acerca en absoluto a los casi 400 € que pagamos.
La mitad de las luces no funcionaban y las que funcionaban estaban a punto de fundirse, dejando la habitación con muy poca iluminación. Aun así, se apreciaba claramente la suciedad: es el alojamiento más sucio en el que hemos estado.
La ducha se inundaba inmediatamente y era asqueroso.
Tardamos una hora y media en llenar el jacuzzi, ya que solo funcionaba la alcachofa. Cuando encendimos los chorros, el agua salía disparada por todas partes, inundando prácticamente todo el baño, además de salir partículas de suciedad, lo que demuestra una falta total de mantenimiento. Evidentemente, cualquier huésped que reserve esta habitación debe sufrir el mismo problema.
Tuvimos que ducharnos con chanclas.
Es el alojamiento con peor relación calidad-precio de todo el viaje y top 3 seguramente de toda nuestra viea.
A día de hoy, todavía estamos esperando que nos envíen la factura.
Tenemos más de 40 fotos que demuestran todo lo mencionado, pero la plataforma solo permite subir 4.
The staff (Celeste) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room is massive and very comfortable. Location is great, around the corner to main street of Montejo.
The shower water pressure is very low. Breakfast was ok. Would have been 10/10 if the shower could be higher pressure.
