El alojamiento fue muy decepcionante. Pagamos la habitación más cara de las suite que tienen (la suite presidencial) y resultó ser, con diferencia, la peor estancia de todo el viaje.
Lo único ligeramente positivo es la ubicación.
Quisimos marcharnos después de la primera noche debido al estado del alojamiento, pero no nos ofrecieron ninguna solución ni alternativa. Como “compensación” nos ofrecieron regalar dos camisas para mi pareja y yo, sin valor, que no deben costar ni 100 pesos.
Lo que debían ser las dos mejores noches del viaje se convirtieron en un auténtico calvario.

La limpieza fue inexistente: todo estaba extremadamente sucio. El jacuzzi no se pudo utilizar, estaba muy descuidado, sucio y además no funcionaba correctamente.
El trato del personal fue pésimo.
El desayuno incluido es muy pobre y triste.
La suite presidencial no tiene nada que ver con las características que aparecen en Booking.
Es, sin duda, el peor alojamiento de todo el viaje, y no se acerca en absoluto a los casi 400 € que pagamos.
La mitad de las luces no funcionaban y las que funcionaban estaban a punto de fundirse, dejando la habitación con muy poca iluminación. Aun así, se apreciaba claramente la suciedad: es el alojamiento más sucio en el que hemos estado.
La ducha se inundaba inmediatamente y era asqueroso.
Tardamos una hora y media en llenar el jacuzzi, ya que solo funcionaba la alcachofa. Cuando encendimos los chorros, el agua salía disparada por todas partes, inundando prácticamente todo el baño, además de salir partículas de suciedad, lo que demuestra una falta total de mantenimiento. Evidentemente, cualquier huésped que reserve esta habitación debe sufrir el mismo problema.
Tuvimos que ducharnos con chanclas.
Es el alojamiento con peor relación calidad-precio de todo el viaje y top 3 seguramente de toda nuestra viea.
A día de hoy, todavía estamos esperando que nos envíen la factura.
Tenemos más de 40 fotos que demuestran todo lo mencionado, pero la plataforma solo permite subir 4.

Les nuisances sonores
The staff (Celeste) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room is massive and very comfortable. Location is great, around the corner to main street of Montejo.
The shower water pressure is very low. Breakfast was ok. Would have been 10/10 if the shower could be higher pressure.

Charming small hotel, excellent service and location. The building itself is beautiful and very well laid out. Beautifully furnished large rooms with high ceilings and tiled floors. Excellent served breakfast with fruit, yoghurt and granola and a choice of eggs with or without almost everything. The service is very friendly, personal and helpful. Location is perfect, very central. No need to worry about some run down buildings; the area, as is Mérida centre, is quite safe.
If I have to name anything, it’s that breakfast service can be slow. The pool is really very small, more like a dipping pool, and there is no cleaning net.
We stayed at Casa Tavera during our honeymoon and really enjoyed the location. It’s very walkable and close to many of Mérida’s main attractions. Downtown, great restaurants, and charming streets are all just a short walk away.
We loved the neighborhood. It felt lively and central while still being comfortable and easy to move around. Being able to explore the city on foot made our stay feel relaxed and special.
The room was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, with a large tub and a comfortable shower, which added to the overall comfort of our stay.
The main downside was parking. The hotel does not have on-site parking, and although the staff told us they had a partner parking option nearby, when we went to the location it did not exist. We informed the staff, but they seemed unsure how to handle the situation and continued insisting it was available. In the end, we had to find parking on our own.
Another area that needs improvement is breakfast service. While breakfast is included, it takes a very long time to be prepared. This was especially inconvenient since many guests in Mérida leave early to visit archaeological sites. One morning we skipped breakfast altogether, even though it was included, because we were worried about being late.
It also appeared that one person was managing both the lobby and the restaurant, which may explain the delays. The food was good, but the options were much more limited than what was shown in the photos and not worth the wait, in our opinion.
Lastly, the safe in the room was not secured to the armoire, so we did not feel comfortable leaving our valuables inside. Additionally, the water temperature in the tub was only mildly warm, which made using the tub less enjoyable than expected.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was perfect.

man muss ums Eck öffentlich parken. Wir hatten jedoch keine Probleme damit, einen Parkplatz zu finden.
Room was large with adequate bathroom, safe, large armoire. Location on quiet side street....during the day and at night......yet area is very walkable to center of town shops, restaurants, and transportation. Very close to Montejo, grand boulevard with historic mansions and shops. Walkable to Chaya restaurants...2 in town. Highly recommended for authentic Yucatan food served in pleasant settings.
Hotel needs to insure hot water on demand. In my 4 day stay I never had hot water for showers and sink use. If warm water happened to start, it lasted for just several minutes...not long enough for a full shower. Breakfast room very noisy because it's open to rush hour morning traffic. Room is small with just 3 tables and an extra table in the foyer. Breakfast choices are made to order after the server suggests options available. No buffet type selections. Food quality is very good however. There is a pool, however the water didn't seem too inviting.
