Pub and room fine, noise awful
Pros:

Comfortable bed, sizeable room, good bathroom. Staff were helpful. Room was a little dim but no complaints otherwise

Cons:

We knew it was a city pub on a Saturday night so we expected some noise. But we found ourselves apparently directly above the DJ, whose pounding beats made sleep impossible. A staff member told us it would stop at 11, but in fact cutoff was 12. Staff were sympathetic but unable to help, though when I asked for earplugs they produced a whole box full.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Pros:

Fantastic location for access to the theatre, shops, restaurants and more. Easy walk from the train station. Surprisingly quiet despite a party on the roof and a part in the bar! Loved the fact that dairy-free milk was available as standard.

Cons:

Cushions on the bed were stained and far more coffee pods needed ideally.

Lustiger Lage - keine richtigen Fenster im Zimmer
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich toll. Besonders viel Spaß hatten wir im Pub, der mit seinen verschiedenen Angeboten wie Karaoke, Tischtennis, Shuffleboard und Essen für eine unterhaltsame Atmosphäre sorgt. Auch das Personal hinter der Bar war ausgesprochen nett und freundlich. Für einen Aufenthalt von einer Nacht ist das Hotel definitiv eine gute Wahl.

Cons:

Das Rooftop konnten wir aufgrund einer geschlossenen Veranstaltung (einer Hochzeit) leider nicht genießen. Das war wirklich schade. Besonders unangenehm empfanden wir jedoch, dass die Fenster unseres Hotelzimmers aus Milchglas bestanden und sich nicht öffnen ließen. Dadurch entstand eine eher beklemmende Atmosphäre, da wir vollständig auf die Klimaanlage angewiesen waren und keine Möglichkeit hatten, frische Luft hereinzulassen. Insgesamt war das keine angenehme Erfahrung. Dieses Zimmer würden wir definitiv nicht noch einmal buchen.

Good friendly reception staff, clean room but not altogether obvious signage and entrance.
Pros:

After finding it, the bar was good and lively but getting to the room was a bit confusing. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

It felt a bit claustrophobic going from the entrance to the room - lift was a bit cramped and then finding the room wasn’t obvious.

Very convenient place to stay when using Reading as an overnight stop when going to or from Heathrow.
Pros:

Great location near train station, rail-air bus, and Reading city center. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Very quiet despite busy location.

Cons:

Window doesn’t open which is something important to me but perhaps not to others.

Wonderful place
Pros:

It was close to everything, check in and out was easy, the room where clean and well equipped we even had a coffee machine which was topped up daily. There were milk and cold water available for guest. 10/10

Cons:

There was someone snoring in the room next to ours and we could hear it.

Yes lovely room but it must be advised that this is a pub
Pros:

The room was lovely and clean. Nice gestures such as tea and coffee facilities. There was a heated towel rail. Very gratefully received. Bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Cons:

Arrived and found it was a pub.
They had drag bingo on at the time. Very loud music but it did stop at 11pm.
Room had no window.
I don’t think anyone is on site after 11pm which was concerning.

Pros:

Beds were so so so comfortable and the pillows were great too! Room was lovely

Cons:

The noise I don’t know why but we didn’t realise we were above a pub/club on the Thursday music was off by 11pm and then the Friday it went off at midnight
