The location

The owner/ front desk manager cancelled my reservations due to my card declining. I was suppose to pay at the hotel. I called to make sure it was okay that I would be showing up later than the check in time, besides the fact the reservation was made after check in time. He located my reservations and said that it was fine I can come at that time. Made it there and when I went to check in I was told my reservations has been canceled and then when I asked why he said that all payments are processed at a certain time. When I checked my card account it showed he tried to charge my card at 8 pm an hr after I talked to him and was told it was okay to come around 10:30- 11:30 so I was confused why my card was being charged before I’ve made it there, and my reservations canceled. Very poor and unprofessional!!!

They are scamming people who use Booking.com!!!
Cons:

I booked two rooms at this hotel on Booking.com. They confirmed both rooms. Then, at the last minute, on the day of checkin, they canceled one of the rooms, but did NOT notify me via the message feature through Booking.com. Then when we arrived, they would only give me my second room if I paid them again, and they would not honor the Booking.com prices. They charged nearly double. After speaking with Booking.com customer service, it turns out they were trying to charge Booking.com three times for our two rooms! Booking.com will refund me the charges from EconoLodge. Stay away from this scam!

Cons:

The sheets on the pull out couch where dirty and stained and the matress was also stained. There where no extra blankets and pillow for the pull out couch, when we asked for them it seemed to be a bother.

Our stay was good. The room was clean for the most part. My husband brought my breakfast back to the room for me, since I was still sleeping. I put it in the microwave to reheat and there was some previous guests food still in the microwave from their visit. Hopefully just the day before...but who really knows. Seems like emptying out the fridge and microwave should go hand in hand with the cleaning of the rooms. But there it was. Chicken fingers. Kind of creeped us out...wondering if the rest of the room was really cleaned or not. We tossed them in the trash and went on about our day. It didn't ruin our trip. Just a minor inconvenience.
