We made a last minute road trip to Omaha Nebraska, to visit the #1 ranked Zoo in the nation, i have always researched everything about our trips and had a schedule. This time i winged it, and it was terrible.
1) I made last minute hotel reservations based on location. The hotel was closest to the zoo.
2) When I picked my room and booked it. I booked a 1 bed room (king bed) for 2 adults and locked in a price.
3) I was given a room with 2 beds and the receptionist didn't know what the price I locked in was. So when I gave him my money that is what he charged me, instead of my change back.
4) We had to ask for the TV remote.
5) There were no blankets/comforters on the beds only sheets. We had to purchase cozy throws at the gas station.
6)
Property looks nothing like pictures it looks dirty in person looks like it’s undergoing construction had kids playing knocking on door and running and very loud at night.
STAY AWAY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! This place looked nice on hotels.com and my wife and I were excited to stay here but once we were inside the hallways were trashed, there was holes in the ceilings, the peep holes were all blocked out. The halls and rooms were filthy and smelled terrible. And exterior doors and doors to the rooms on the bottom floor that did not lock. Absolutely disgusting. Complete scam from this place.
Carpet stain in the room it says its a smokefree hotel and our room smelled like cigarettes
Camper in parking lot that looked like it was being lived in, junk cars in parking lot (like non running!), stained bedding, leaking mini fridge, no soap, no housekeeping (was there 2 nights), dog in room down the hall that barked for one of the afternoons (I’m sure it was left alone in room), kids screaming and running up and down hall at really late hours, sorry but would NEVER recommend or come back.
Disgusting
Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed.
Reasoning for the low rating: this hotel was interesting… it was not the safest or cleanest environment and it was constantly noisy. We had bright blue/purple lights blasting into the bedroom from outdoors which couldn’t really be filtered out. Our tv continued to turn on, change channels, Change volume, throughout the night (assuming another room had the remote from our tv, as we did not have a remote to turn the tv on and needed to get one from the front desk.). Many individuals hanging around the premise who may be living there at this point - saw into some rooms which were stuffed full with stuff - which is okay and we are happy they have a place to be, however, maybe the hotel shouldn’t be advertised as a hotel anymore… doors were being slammed all night, children directly outside our door though late hours of the night, no mirror in the bathroom, glass in the carpet, big hole for maybe a AC unit in ceiling, 1 roll of toilet paper which was just seated on the back water tank, messy/not clean breakfast area (I.e. spilled food, drink), broken shelf in the shower…
Again, staff was friendly and kind and it was a good location for the activities we did , but wouldn’t recommend this spot for a family or those wanting a restful nights sleep.
Hotel is rundown. Room was clean but not very put together. Handles falling off, holes in ceiling in the hallway. Trash out in the courtyard. After reading previous reviews I thought we would get more. Especially when it was not necessarily low price.
I must first say that upon arrival we discovered this hotel was being renovated. Once in our room, we quickly noticed that the renovations were still in the process. There was a caulking gun on bathroom counter, no bathroom mirror, no ice bucket or Kleenex, coffee maker but no pods/creamer/sugar, no toilet paper holder (there was one roll sitting on top of toilet), and scraps of dry wall, etc on bathroom floor. I should mention that we arrived very late in the night and were exhausted. The bed appeared to be clean so we chose to just deal with it. No doubt, when renovations are done, this will be a nice hotel.
This hotel was quite dirty and seemed to be like a location for several illegal activities.. there was noise all hours of the nights in the halways plust paper thin walls thay you could hear everything. Garbabge was strung out all over thebparking lot and in front of the building. Everythint set up for q good breakfast in the morning but much to ky dissapointment everything was empty that very morning... pool was tagged closed by the city health inspeftor. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone.
I booked this hotel for the price and the pool. The pool was closed because it didn't pass health inspection. The smoke detector had been ripped out of the ceiling and was lying on a shelf. Not sure what was on the walls. I booked a suite, received a double. The bathroom had been recently remodeled, but whoever did the remodeling didn't put a drop cloth down, and most of the mud and paint were all over the floor. Other clientele were... unsavory at best, as they're was a domestic in the hallway shortly after we got into our room, and the dog in the hallway worth another guest almost ate us. I booked a5 night stay and left after the first night. Tried calling the manager after I left but he didn't answer. Emailed the manager but did not get a response. It was quite an experience, to say the least.
Rude staff, 3 mice seen in room no linen exchange and harassing staff bout break fast every morning
I like to hear because it's close to the interstate there's convenience store there's restaurant the zoo
Well, we checked in to our room which is room 150. We checked in and went in there and saw that there was only two towels and a hot tub in the room so you gotta have more than two towels so we went down to ask for towels and they said you gotta be plenty towels, OK and stuff and just kept being belligerent with my girlfriend Just kept going on about it and then we went and found out that there was a second bed in the room so we were getting ready to use. It went down to the desk to ask for a sheet and a blanket, and the guy told us over and over again. You only have one bed, but the couch unfolds into another bed so I don’t think he understood what we’re trying to get across, but it was terrible experience and I’ll never recommend wind Estate ever again. I used to be on the road a lot and I’d always try to stay at the Wyndham hotel because Wyndham to me said quality this time it was wasn’t even close to quality is terrible.
The place was chaotic and wasn’t very clean. Staff could not comprehend that our room did not out of any towels and we were up charge for two beds and only had one.. we cannot recommend staying at this place
If you have stuff outside ur truck lock ur car and truck at all times woke up to all my totes gone out the back of my truck and my kids clothes and hair straightner was in there i will be maken a police report other than that they could have more housekeepers were they knock ask do you want room service other than that they r great and wonderful with children we like it and our family :)
Noisy! People yelling in the hallway, sounds like a wrestling match in the room above us, could hear a low battery chirp in the room beside us. No soap in the bathroom. Breakfast was pitiful.
Reserved a room at a hotel with a pool. The halls were filthy. Entered our room and could only smell cigarette smoke. Went to the front desk and they only offered to cancel our reservation. I asked if we would get refunded and the guy nodded yes. We got out of the dump as quickly as we could.
I booked a suite for two nights, two weeks before we were suppose to stay there. When we arrived, they gave us a normal room with a broken-in-half picture frame sitting in the corner, brand new TV with nothing setup on it, and a bathroom that looked like a lumberjack was harvesting in there. I went to the front desk and asked if it was the right room, or if I could be compensated for paying more for a suite. He just said, “No. No rooms. Want me to cancel whole thing?”. We ended up staying because we had no where else to stay, but way overpaid for the room. I tried reaching out to them once I got home, and they just sent me an email that said “apologies.”. Crazy to me how this is acceptable. I am never staying at a Wyndham hotel again.
Unpleasant service, rooms did not have hot air, bad service
