We showed up and they asked us to leave because they weren't ready for us. We stayed at the hotel up the road for much cheaper and it was plenty nice.

Es un lugar lindo, lamentablemente le falta mucho cariño en sus instalaciones y detalles, debe y sentirse mejor para el huésped, el olor debe ser algo de cuidado en las habitaciones.
Muy bueno el desayuno

Die Villa Illusion ist langsam in die Jahre gekommen. Das merkt man besonders am Waschbereich. Allerdings für den Preis ist es völlig uin Ordnung.

Dirty, family lives there who runs the place and has kids making noise too late at night, lousy accommodations, breakfast not served when promised. Place is run doen, near its end. A joke.

The property was not even a hotel, I don’t know why this is on Expedia, we had to end up leaving, to start, there was no one that could check us in and we had to wait, then we needed to change our sheets because they were dirty stained with blood and other things, and no one could help us, there was a loud wedding downstairs and we couldn’t sleep so we ended up leaving

La experiencia de este lugar es algo que quisiera borrar por completo de mi memoria, las Camas tenían pelo, polvo, manchas no me quiero imaginar de que, todo estaba asquerosamente sucio, telarañas por doquier, no logramos dormir nada del hedor que tenían las habitaciones era como si nunca hubieran limpiado esas habitaciones, no hay agua potable, es un completo desastre, no le recomiendo a nadie que visite este lugar es una completa ilusión la que le venden en este lugar.

Pedimos que limpiaran la habitación y que cambiaran la ropa de cama y si intentaron limpiarla y cambiar las fundas, pero aún así tenían pelos, y el piso tenía una casi una peluca de la cantidad de cabello, no puedo creer la pésima calidad de servicio de este lugar.

Not frequently and mean, no access to go out no body to contact to open, this places is dangerous for health..

The host was such a sweet guy, he gave us money for the tolls! Also he knows how to get places faster, so you can avoid traffic, which is a real thing here. The hotel itself is used for weddings a lot, apparently, so you can imagine how beautiful this hotel is, the pictures don't do it justice. Also, there's a pool table. So. Go here, it's great.

It’s a lovely place.

Beautiful old and stately home become a small hotel. In COVID breakfast served in your room. Host with 2 small delightful children. Nice balcony for breakfast. In times without COVID, I imagine it’s very convivial

Arrived early…….gate to the property was closed. A youngster who lived nearby helped us enter. Mansion was opened….no one near the checkin area……called out for assistance….a guest helped us get the attention of the owner. Classic old style mansion……..fast checkin…..classic staircase….spacious room with a balcony…..pool table just outside our room…..full breakfast served on our balcony……special Christmas breakfast the morning we departed. Very cordial owners….accommodating….helpful!

El personal nunca utilizó mascarilla, la habitación sumamente sucia desde la cama, no estaba bien tendida, sábanas manchadas, toallas sucias, polvo en las mesitas de noche, plantas podridas y el agua de los floreros verdusca, mal olor en la ropa de cama, cobijas viejas y polvo, la ducha no funcionó adecuadamente desde un inicio, alfombras de baño requieren ser cambiadas

Great bed and breakfast like hotel. People running it are very nice and attentive. Wife great. Hot water in showers. Beds comfortable. Beautiful area. Not far from San Ysidro

Beautiful mansion-hotel. Beds very comfortable and wi-fi excellent. Breakfast very good. Shower has hot water. Loved everything about it and will stay there again.

Only thing to be aware of is that like a lot of Costa Rica hotels there is an end to check-in time at 10pm. I checked in at 9pm and the gate was locked and I called and they let me in. Another time we got there in the afternoon and everything was fine. Also the turnoff from the highway comes up very fast and I've missed it a couple of times and had to circle back. Not a problem, though.

Amazing place, we felt at home. The hosts are amazing and welcomed us as if they're us. Took us to local trips and the homemade breakfasts were delicious.

Really gorgeous place complete with spiral staircase. Lovely room with a canopy bed. Hostess served a nice breakfast in the morning.
