It was okay for one quick night.
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

The lobby is beautiful but we had a first floor room that was dingy and not the cleanest. We food straws and food wrappers between the night stand and beds, dirt all over the curtains/blinds, had a “old” smell to it, wallpaper was peeling etc

It was fine. Especially seeing the Mississippi River right out the dinning windows.
Pros:

The staff and the breakfast. Nice room and bed but our room smelled like stale smoke. We got in late and the staff was very accommodating. We had friends with us with handicaps and they got a room close by that was accommodating to them.

Cons:

The stale smoke smell upon entering our room. We were so late and tired we didn’t say anything we just went to bed because we didn’t want to deal with any change of room.

As expected. the location is the value and the older style rooms were nicely upgraded and cumfy.
Pros:

Great location on the River. Older motel with good upgrades, excellent counter and staff. Conveniently located foe activities and restaurants. Quiet, friendly and comfortable room.

Cons:

Not a fan of turkey bacon too many days in a row. In previous stays, breakfast was better. Not the help, but the plastic eggs and other choices very limited. Iowa should do better

We stayed there bc it was close to laclaire
Pros:

Pleasantly surprised to see a jacuzzi in the room

Cons:

The plug in the jacuzzi didn't work so it leaked. Also the outside was very unsightly with all the weeds. Should really be cleaned up

Pros:

We loved the location. We stayed on the 4th of July and could literally watch the fireworks over the Mississippi River from the bed of the truck in the parking lot. The room was exceptional - bed and pillows were comfortable and we were able to get a good night's sleep. Also, we made good time and showed up a half an hour early, and we were allowed to get into our room a little earlier than check-in time, which was much appreciated.

Pros:

Easy access and comfortable rooms

Cons:

Our room had holes in the walla, which should have been fixed before renting. The grounds needed a lot of work, such as mowed, weeded, parking lot had holes. Not what we were used to at this hotel.
