OYO Tong Park Hotel

Went for a meal with a friend as there was a groupon deal. The food was fine. The staff smelt of cigarettes and weren’t very professional. This is mostly a wedding venue with a shisha marquee. The tiles on the floors are cracked and covered with tape. It used to be such a high end hotel it’s been left to be run into ruins which is a huge shame Very noisy for the village with Audis, BMWs and other rented super cars revving engines

Do not touch this place. It masquerades as The Courtyard Hotel on booking Apps, and it is a major weekend wedding venue.
The noise is horrific until 0300 in the morning. Reception are powerless to assist and there is NO management on site to address the issue. They do not warn you on booking of the noise that awaits you. I emailed to complain and was promised management would get back to me but they did not. This hotel treats its guests with utter contempt, do not use it.

Went here in September with my friend for a girl weekend of ghost hunting.
There was an issue with the type of room when we arrived but this was sorting quickly.
Friday night was ok however when we got back from dinner management asked if we liked our room and did we want to swap with someone else.

Saturday, well the management planning around wedding g needs reviwing. My friend and I returned from local farm shops as the wedding g party was exiting . Prob photbombed a couple fo pics. Luckily friend and I was out from 5pm to 4am because the marquee was right outside our bedroom window and we could hear the music. If uour not a wedding guest you should be over the other side you can not hear it.

After the clean it smelt like dirty wet mop.

Building and area was nice but would not recommend this place.

All ok but one morning they just cancelled breakfast as the chef never turned in. Not even a yogurt , toast or coffee offered !

Ceiling was leaking . Elevator not working.
Loud band at the event in their event room with no sound proofing of the bedrooms. Hard beds.
They did move us to a different room but didn’t make the beds up in that room.

Not one single member of staff at check-in alerted me to the fact that I needed to register my cars reg plate Im order to park at the hotel. I have ended up receiving two parking tickets because of this. There needs to be clear signage as you check-in, and staff ought to be told to ask “have you arrived in a vehicle? You will need to register the reg plate to avoid a ticket”. To this day, I have no clue how this is done? Is there a machine? Do you give your reg plate at check-in desk? Really poor.

I was bought a 2 course meal with wine for 2 for my 50th Birthday. We booked for Thursday 25th sept. On arrival we didnt know where to go (being our 1st visit), the lady on reception was lovely and told us where we needed to be (including the fact we had to put our car reg into the screen on the desk so we didnt get a ticket). The Maitre D was very helpful, proffesional and polite, showed us to a table, gave us the menu and took our wine order . On producing our wine, i asked which items we could choose on the menu as part of my gift (as i had never done this before). He was lovely!, explained everything clearly then left us until we were ready to order. The foid was beautiful!! Cooked well, hot and very tasty. The Chef even came to the table to ensure everything was satisfactory!!!. What a very good evening all round, we will definately be returning.

Terrible experience rain came through ceiling soaking one of the beds, rain coming down walls, bin half full of water, electric sockets not working, hotel done thing after 3 complaints, Expedia who we booked through couldn’t do anything neither definitely not recommend customer service definitely does not exist.

One of the double beds was soaking wet because roof was leaking over bed rain was running down the walls, electric sockets didn’t work, 3 x staff did nothing, didnt have another room even though they weren’t full. so had to all squeeze on one bed as it was late. Expedia also tried to contact hotel no response aswell and refused refund even after showing video BOTH I WILL NOT USE AGAIN

The staff at the front desk are just incompetent. They initially tried to give a single room even though a double was booked. The checkout for me was 12pm but my friends email said 11am. I checked this at the reception and was told we both had 12pm. On the final day we receive a call from reception to both our rooms at around 11.30am stating we should have checked out at 11am. We explained it was 12pm as it said it my email and we had asked the night before but the response we got back was one of disbelief and accusatory. We then went to reception before 12pm and they said sorry once and then seemed confused by why the checkout was 12pm and then quicky resortedback to looking skeptical as if our confirmation email was incorrect. Never staying there again.

clean in a good location with easy access to Motorway network yet with a secluded feeling

I booked this hotel well in advance. I chose it for location, as well as the fact that it had a lift and a restaurant on premises. We would be in a car most of the day and wanted a one stop shop so to speak. On arrival there was chaos in the lobby lobby and really loud music, there was a wedding celebration we were told. Mentioned we just wanted to get to the room, order from the restaurant, and get to sleep.

Was informed the restaurant was closed for the celebration. No alternates were offered.

Asked where the lift was, we had four bags. You guessed it. Lift us out of order. No offer to help with our bags up multiple steps thru multiple fire doors.

Got to the room and the music was really loud, we wouldn’t be able to sleep. Requested different room and received a much quieter room. Still no offer to help with bags up even more stairs snd more doors.

Spent time trying to find someplace with an open kitchen. Came back to the room tired and frustrated

Music got loud enough to wake us up, put in my noise canceling headphones, got back to sleep

The exterior of the hotel is beautiful, but the interior is dated. The bathroom did not feel clean and there was a dead insect on the floor,

The staff was not helpful.
