Nice hotel, reception and bar staff all very friendly. Plenty of parking and it's in a quiet location.
Only giving three stars as I didn't sleep well at all. I had the room right next to reception (23) so heard everyone coming and going. This included a group of guys having an argument in the early hours. It was an oversight to put a room that close to reception.
The pillows were also not at all comfortable. One was hard and the other too soft, put together they were too high. Pillows are a personal preference, but I could not get comfortable at all.
My only other gripe was that the cleaners let themselves in twice on the morning of my departure. I hadn't put the do not disturb sign out, but surely they should know if a guest has checked out or not? Both times they knocked and immediately let themselves in, fortunately I was dressed each time!
I booked a small single room for business travel, and it was a small room. Other than that the facilities are typical of a Holiday Inn / chain hotel. The thing that stood out was the attitude of the staff. Reception checking in and out, bar and breakfast were all efficient and very friendly. Even a member of housekeeping that I passed in the corridor gave me a cheery greeting. I might have left an average review, but the staff at this hotel deserve a mention. They set me off in a good mood.
Good value clean hotel . Friendly front desk .
Quick welcoming check in. Plenty of on site parking. Comfy room. Everything worked ok. Gave my feedback to the reception manager when I checked out this morning.
Very good, clean, staff friendly. Had abit of disappointment aroubd the food but that was a minor, it was sorted quickly. Would stay again.
This hotel is near the M1. We booked as a simple overnight stay to break up an extended drive. The room was for a family of four, fully prepaid in advance.
We arrived after midnight to be told the hotel was somehow overbooked and that we (and apparently others before us would have to find alternative accommodation). Being fair the receptionist assisted us, but given the time it took 30 minutes to find another hotel that could accommodate. This was a further 50 minute drive. and we had to pay again in full.
There was no attempt to contact us before arrival to warn us of the issue, indeed we received instead welcome messages.
Two days on, despite contacting the hotel I. The morning we have not even received acknowledgment of our complaint. The hotel still has our prepayment and we are out of pocket rack rate for another hotel for what was now down to 3 hours sleep before our flight.
Never experienced a farce like this before.
Booked this near motorway hotel to break up an overnight trip. Room fully paid in advance. Arrived at 1am to be told it was overbooked, and we and our family of 4 would need to find somewhere else. Receptionist was apologetic and helpful, but it took 30 mins to locate another room a further 50 minutes drive away. We then had to pay again for this and will now have to negotiate a refund of our prepaid room. No attempt was made to contact us beforehand to warn us there was an issue.
Stayed here a few days ago for couple of nights, Hotel is mainly all on a flat level, fairly quiet by H.i standards, As we were going out following day for lunch, we opted for evening food at hotel upon arrival, We were warmly greeted by the young girl on bar duty, who came & took out orders. would like to give a name check , but sadly did not catch her name tag, but would say she coped extremely well when being on her own, the restaurant soon filled up & still she was left on her own, food ordered was ok ,it is what it is, This location was not quite up to as good as other HI locations we have stayed at this year. They could do with putting a water dispenser out on bar area like others. We probably would return again for a convenient stopover.
We stayed here as we was driving down to Heathrow airport from Glasgow and didn't want to do the journey in one day, the staff we met in hotel was really nice but there was a lot of noise during the night with someone banging on there door at just gone midnight and when I got woken up by this, when I went to phone reception it stopped and then happened again at 02:30 and the women was shouting let me in and I pack and go. Then this went on for about 5 mins again and also a dog barked. So I spoke to the receptionist in the morning and she was very apologise and said she speak to the manager to review cctv because data protection and GDPR she wasn't allowed to review it which I understand as I am CCTV Licence with SIA. Then I asked if the manager would email me when I got the email he was sorry but said nothing happened like we was lying. But the other staff and the breakfast was really good
Good for family stay
Very handy location. Simple but pleasant hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff. Ticked all the boxes for us.
Disappointing stay overall. Warm welcome but rooms were just off of lobby with lots of noise late into the night. Food choice in the restaurant was limited and the food was not great quality when it finally did come out. The manager on the Saturday was particularly rude and moaning about customers within earshot of others. Location is handy for some local events but not sure I’d stay again.
24hr room service was not offered when we arrived at 2130hrs, just eat was.(stop serving food at 2100hrs) Ordered and delivered approx 2200hrs, rudely told by the receptionist we couldn't eat our food in the bar area.
Booked 2 rooms but when we arrived they were both at either ends of the hotel, also, the neighbours attempted to get into our room via the adjoining door at around 1am. Made reception aware the next day to be told they'd inform management, still waiting for any kind of contact
Perfect location for travelling to Silverstone, friendly staff and good breakfast
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good
Cheap and good breakfast
The hotel itself is fine and the rooms are clean and comfortable however the breakfast was abysmal. Very poor offering. This was the same both mornings over our weekend stay.
Excellent in every way from start of stay to finish. Would highly recommend.
Clean comfortable hotel near the M1. Good controllable aircon. Breakfast unremarkable.
One night stay to break long journey. Rural location. Plenty parking. Good friendly reception. Clean generic room on ground floor.
Bathroom has useful small night light.
Evening meal served in good time.
Breakfast, like usual Holiday Inn menu.
The building is spoilt by poor internal soundproofing. TV mounted on wall. Noise travels between rooms and from corridor to room.
