Ok for an emergency overnight stay close to LAX
Pros:

We needed a last minute overnight stay close to LAX due to a flight cancellation. I was pleased to be able to book a room for the same night, close to the airport, with a complimentary shuttle. I had requested a room in a quiet location, and my request was accommodated.

Cons:

The first time the shuttle driver passed through the airport on his 30 minute rotation, he never slowed down or pulled over to the curbside lane where we were waving at him .... just blew on by. After waiting for him to come around again (we were TIRED). we stepped out into the street so he had to slow down. Our check in agent was perfunctory in her efforts, and seemed to be irritated that we asked questions. Maybe that's the way everyone in LA is. We were disappointed to get a room a category below what we had booked, but I guess that was the price of getting a quiet location. We sure weren't going to bother anyone there any further, just needed to collapse, and the room met that basic need.

Cons:

Tub in shower. Prefer shower no tub. Shuttle difficult to identify because other Marriott shuttles are running around also.

Exceeded expectations
Pros:

Clean and nicely furnished. Comfy beds. Good breakfast. Staff at the downstairs Starbucks were excellent! The lady who was behind the counter in particular. So happy (especially for 6 am!), friendly and courteous. Breakfast burrito was good, too.
