Worst
No one listen to problem
Breakfast was good
Disappointed that the pool was closed
Looks like a nice place for young kids although I don’t have young kids.
Outdated, bathtub and faucet were very outdated. Waited a long time to talk to a front desk staff in the evening, nobody came
I liked the location and all the activities my teens can enjoy !
The room had a musty smell
Good price
A bit out of the way.
Calme et tranquillité
Old, tired, and dirty. Lacking maintenance.
The only thing really going for it is the proximity to Pelee National Park and thankfully, at least the sheets were clean.
We stayed at the hotel twice for 3 nights, June 8, then again on June 10, & 11.
This hotel is mediocre at best. Our first was Room 203 and it was worn and completely stripped of everything. We had to call the front desk to even have a box of Kleenex sent up. The one in the bathroom was completely empty. So if the room was serviced, why wasn't it replaced?
There were no usual hotel paperwork. eg., where the ice machine is located. General hotel instructions, etc. There was no channel sheet for the TV to help guests find anything. Not even a single pen and notepad. Even the "do not disturb" door hanger was missing from the door.
The desk chair in the room has ripped vinyl on both the back and the seat. It's 100% worn out.
When we arrived on Monday afternoon, in the hallway outside Room 201 was a dirty dinner plate with cutlery sitting on the hallway floor. Clearly someone had ordered room service then just set the plate outside in the hall. The problem even on Tuesday morning when we checked out the plate was still there. Housekeeping had delivered supplies to our room next door and must have walked past the plate multiple times, but left it there. Nothing screams a hotel staff thinking, "THAT'S NOT MY JOB" than that.
When we finally found the ice machine in the stairwell on the 3rd floor, it works fine and I'd give kudos for the Water Bottle Refill Station beside it. Problem is that the "Filter" light was on for the entire week. What's the point of providing a bottle refill station to obtain clean drinking water, then not be bothered to service it and change the filter?
Our 2nd stay of 2 nights was Room 221. Better except there was no hot water. I called the front desk 10 pm to report it. I did finally figure out the hotel's hot water tank must be at the other end of the building.
Pool table & food
Room card had to be reset after 48 hours
Rooms are clean and well stocked. This is my third time staying here. I have also visited January 2018 and January 2023. The amenities are great, especially those offered inside the atrium. The pool needs to be maintained much better in all regards. I had to ask for towels to be restocked multiple times in the pool area even with two employees present in the area. One employee manages the line for the water slides while the other is meant to be monitoring the pool but they never intervene when any rules are broken. At one point there were 4 adults with beverages in the pool (one in a Yeti, two in cans, and one red solo cup) when the rules clearly state otherwise. Most of the families visiting were incredibly rowdy and disrespectful to other guests. Another rule says “no toys or objects” with various pictures as examples. I personally don’t care about regular pool floaties and toys but one family was using a remote controlled water torpedo that could have easily gotten caught in someone’s hair while an employee stood next to them and watched. There were children climbing up the slides when the slides were closed because families just do not care about the rules and the hotel staff do not care about enforcing them.
The hotel’s location was very convenient, especially because it was close to Point Pelee National Park, which was a big advantage for my family.
Unfortunately, my recent stay was disappointing. Upon arrival, the check-in process was extremely slow. Even though I was the next guest in line, it took over 15 minutes before I was assisted. The receptionist appeared very slow handling a simple check-in process, which was frustrating after arriving at the hotel.
In addition, the shampoo in the room was empty, and I had to go down to the reception myself just to request a refill, which was inconvenient.
Lastly, the Wi-Fi service was very poor. Although I was able to connect to the network, the internet was unusable because I could not browse properly. Advertising Wi-Fi service is meaningless if it does not function reliably.
Excellent proximity to Point Pelee National Park.
Average rooms (dark, somewhat dated, but clean enough), average service, and no complementary breakfast. For $229 dollars, I expect breakfast to be included, not an extra $20 per person.
Water pressure below average. Washroom needs updating. Furniture needs replacing.
This is our third stay here. The good: very nice staff, the rooms need updating but they are clean, close to Pelee Point. A few things we didn't like. The attached photo shows the "patio" of the patio room we booked. Uh, no. They no longer offer free breakfast but you can pay for breakfast and you are served. The pool was closed for the entire time we were there.
Convenient to Point Pelee but our room for me and my wife cost C$355 per inight for 4 nights, way over-priced. Ask for a room with daylight. Half the rooms face a dreary ping pong area with no daylight, depressing. No free breakfast. Our heater and thermostat did not work so we froze. No guest laundry.
The staff here are amazing! So friendly and helpful!
