We would give the staff a 5star rating - friendly and service minded. Doing their best with the few resources available.
But the «hotel» was below par in every other way. Wi-fi was completely unacceptable. And we had no light in the bathroom. Impossible to adjust temperature in the shower. Noisy air conditioning unit, and even the refrigerator was making high noise during the night. The pool was closed all the time. The check in experience, through a tiny window in the wall, was extremely unfriendly, and would not help us with the non-working wi-fi.
On the good side: The TV and the microwave was working very well.
I have saw lots of negative reviews about this place ,I stayed there last year 2024 and returned this year and stayed 10 nights and was fab staff excellent rooms excellent pool and outdoor areas excellent I give it's 5 🌟 value for money I can't say more
Do not stay at this hotel. Many of the rooms are occupied by people placed there by FEMA. You run the chance of being placed in a room previously occupied by a FEMA placement. NO PHONE in room. If you are missing items from the room such as kleenex, hand towels, etc there is NO PHONE to call the front desk. If you experience an emergency there is NO PHONE to call the front desk. The room was dirty, the window was ajar and would not close. We were late arrival and it was either stay here or find another hotel. After a 9 hour drive and more driving to do the next day we opted to grit our teeth and bear it. Don't be us,
Unclean, broke entry door, unconnected closet door with door behind that has 3 locks(unsafe), room very unsanitary, hotel staff unintelligible. Slept on top of bed due to nasty living situations, no where else to go—all other hotels sold out.
Would not recommend to ANYONE!!
the hotel is very basic and run down. We entered an obviously smoked in room and i am allergic to smoke. No hand towels or washcloths available. we had a fly, an ant, two small bugs and a large cockroach in our room. breakfast was very basic. paid a lot for two nights because of home football game.
The room was clean but I had some bugs in my room and BR. I left a $50 yeti container in the fridge. Called 1st time, said they would check and call back and didn't. Did not rent that room out and Housekeeping only 1 in there. Called back the 2nd day, said they would check again and cal and didn't. Sad that people cant turn things in anymore.
We came there because of evacuation from hurricane Milton, staff was very friendly, very understanding our stressful situation and that was extremely important.
The pictures that you have online of the lobby is not what you see when you walk in. I was so mortified by the condition of the hotel and the older of the lobby and the room. I did not stay one single night. A complete waste of money.
The room itself was fine but we had tenants on both sides of our room. One looked to be the maintenance employee and the other the cleaning employee. The cleaning employee was very loud during the night hours.
Property is very dirty and out dated. Lots of bugs in the room. We were there for football gameday. Location was great, easy parking right by the room. But not a nice place.
Far below Wyndham and Days Inn standards, this place is a dump. Cockroaches in the bathroom, a toilet not secured to the floor, 4 measly broken hangers in a makeshift closet, no in-room safe, a door that you could see light around the frame! There was no clock radio, no tissues or lotion, cheap towels and crappy little soaps and shampoo packets. The advertised breakfast was terrible coffee and old bananas. The parking lot is filled with broken down cars, boats and a tow truck. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable but the floors were dirty and I did not feel safe.
Our room smelled very musty and like painted-over mildew and cigarette smoke. It was obvious pets had been in there, my allergies went crazy.
The photos are misleading. The property has not been updated since it likely built. Roach infested. Rooms smell of cigarette smoke. I wish I could upload photos. Expedia should remove from their property listing.
At greatly increased rates because my stay happened during a weekend when there was an event in town, I would have at least hoped for a room that had a working TV and a smoke detector that wasn’t hanging by a wire from the ceiling. Or a room that didn’t have the faint but nauseating odor of cigarette smoke and beer. Or a room with hot — not just warm — water. Or someone at the front desk to answer the phone when I (reluctantly) had to ask for a late checkout. Alas, all that was too much to ask.
When we first pulled up at this Days Inn, I thought it was closed or abandoned because the front last section of building facing main road, rooms on main floor and top floor windows were broken, taped, had torn damaged sheeting dangling in several windows. Our room on bottom floor was okay, had fridge that worked and a microwave. Parking was ample, location seemed a bit sketchy. Air conditioning worked but barely. Would not stay here again.
You get what you pay for. But for five times the regular rate for A UF game weekend is complete highway robbery. A place that appears to attract the unhoused and persons with addiction, with urine smells in and around is not the most conducive for a comfortable or safe stay.
Old old hotel, beds in rooms have noisy plastic mattress protectors on them. Toilet ancient and very low profile. Tub is very small and old. Funny that lamps have plastic protectors on their shades as though they were valuable. Appreciate being able to have a place to lie my head, maybe time to invest in some upgrades.
Customer service is great
Not clean, bugs everywhere in the room. Would never stay here again especially for the $600+ I was charged for 2 days. The employees were nice though.
Very old - needs updating. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the university.
