Very disappointing
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Very misleading images of rooms on booking.com. Room very small with no view other than back lane and overlooking windows from rear properties. Overpriced breakfast.

Highly recommend
Pros:

Great location and superb breakfast. Also enjoyed a lovely evening meal

Cons:

There was noise from neighbours on this occasion, which I have not noticed on previous stays. Not the hotel’s fault. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.

A nice hotel and friendly staff
Pros:

Rooms were nice, good breakfast, most staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The hotel had no knowledge and didn’t acknowledge the upgrades offered by booking.com, we requested late checkout but they didn’t know what we were referring to and no mention of the request we made.

It made the trip stress free and enjoyable

Cannot think of anything specific

If you value location and a comfortable bed fine but it is definitely overpriced and dated.
Pros:

The location is great and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are ok and fit for purpose but our room had a faulty window and the carpet a moldy smell throughout. Overall could do with some renovations. If you value location and a comfortable bed fine but it is definitely overpriced and dated.

Overall loved my stay and the hotel staff were really helpful!
Pros:

The position was amazing and my room was really spacious with a view of the castle which I loved!

Cons:

The shower in my room made it nearly impossible to get under with the tap configuration and the shower head and I’m not a big person - I could not have washed my hair there - I have a lot of hair. I haven’t experienced this at a Hilton before - very weird!

Beautiful castle views in the heart of Edinburgh
Pros:

Our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre was wonderful. Due to our early morning flight, we arrived well before check-in but the staff made storing our luggage for the day a breeze. The hotel itself is in a super convenient location and most sights are a short 10-15 min walk away. The room was large for being so central and the bed was very comfortable. We splurged on a room with a castle view which it did not disappoint as the first night we were treated to a rainbow over the castle!

Cons:

We ordered food from the restaurant one night and, while the food was okay, it didn't feel like great value for the money.
