Pros:

Very convenient for city centre.

Cons:

Drinks at the bar were very expensive.
We were also told at reception there was no way between the two buildings (rooms and wedding venue) without going outside, which turned out not to be true.

Comfortable with Caring staff and Management
Pros:

Rooms Very Clean,, warm, spacious, and well appointed.

Cons:

I fear not a hotel for more than a two or three night stay. The restaurant has a very limited and fixed menu. That menu has only two vegetarian items a Curry and a Jackfruit Burger both it seems are pre-prepared products the content of each item being fixed.. Thus when the question relating to allergies or aversions is asked insomuch as the items are pre-prepared if you have an intolerance to an ingredient in either or both of those vegetarian "0ptions" the offending ingredient cannot be omitted and therefor the menu item is or as in my case was no option whatsoever. It is only in the United Kingdom that a Four Star Hotel would refer to what is in effect a fast food outlet as a restaurant. .

Great weekend break next door to the Castle.
Pros:

The hotel was easy to find, adjacent to the Old Town. Parking is available at a nearby NCP carpark, but this could be inconvenient/difficult for guests with mobility issues and carrying luggage. The charge is reduced by 50% for hotel guests. We paid £54 for 3 days city centre parking which we thought good value. Check in was pleasant, smooth and professional. All staff were very attentive and helpful during our stay. The room was spotless with a fabulous view of the Castle and had all the usual facilities including bathrobes and slippers. Unlike other hotels, the heating and ventilation was easy to adjust. The hotel has a smart looking restaurant attached and it was nice to see it fairly busy most evenings. Service was excellent. Other restaurants and cafes were only a 5 minute walk away in the Old Town. Breakfast is buffet style but you can order eggs and other specials to be brought to the table. Food was plentiful and nicely presented. Coffee and other hot drinks were available from a machine but the quality and strength did let the breakfast down a little. The hotel is a rather grand building and from the outside, resembles the Flatiron in New York. All in all, a great hotel centrally located and did not disappoint. We would definitely visit again.

Cons:

Breakfast drinks machine a bit disappointing. Could do with a toilet brush in the bathroom. Otherwise, there was nothing to dislike.
