Wheelchair user here, room spaces were generous. Did not try the restaurants or breakfast but seemed to be great !
Asked for a wheelchair-accessible room but they told me I had to pay extra to get one because there weren't accessible-rooms at the standard room I booked for. Will not be returning again, it is not my problem if they don't have accessible rooms for every standard.
Breakfast was a delightful experience - service by Raul, Tetiana and Gaurav on both our days were great as they made sure we were well taken care of.
Excellent location - sets at the back entrance to Edinburg castle. Well updated and maintained hotel.
The breakfast restaurant is superb. Tania and Raul are great servers and took very good care of our requests and needs.
The hotel staff was highly accommodating and had great suggestions for sites to visit. As stated before, the hotel is within a 1/2 mile of many recommended attractions and/or the meeting locations for tours.
All in all, we will be staying here again when we revisit Edinburgh.
The location is perfect! The rooms are large, comfortable and nicely decorated with incredible views of the Castle. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff is kind and efficient. Raul was very helpful when we ordered customized items from the menu (also included in the price!) and took time on a busy morning to check back with us to make sure we were all set. Highly recommend!
Sehr gute Ausgangslage um Edinburgh zu besichtigen. Parkhaus in der Nähe (Princes Exchange Car Park) 24 Std. Kosten hier 18 Pfund.
Das Zimmer war nicht ordentlich gestaubsaugt und zudem auch auf den Ablagen etwas staubig.

Excellent hotel. The people are brilliant and truly made the stay memorable.
We stayed there for one night, for our anniversary, in a King Deluxe with Castle View.
I'll start with location, 10 minutes walk into the main area, which was pleasant, past the theatre district etc. Ideal.
Room - it was very clean, spacious and had a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Bath was a bit small, but all full functioning, with shower gels, shampoos etc all provided.
Breakfast - opted for room service, and the food arrived on time and was hot. Good quality, a brilliant selection.
Reception - Haley at reception was excellent. Very helpful, speedy check in, and remembered our name, which added a personal touch. She really is an asset to the company.
Restaurant/ Bar - opted to a few cocktails and then an evening meal. Peter (and a blonde lady whose name I never caught) were excellent. They provided great service, interacted with us and gave us the background on the beers, the area etc. they were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much.
As said at the beginning, a great hotel can be ruined by the staff, but not this Hilton. Those that I have named really went above and beyond and should be praised and rewarded for their service.

windows view is terrible as all you can see is the wall of the building next to the hotel although city centre and touristic attractions are relatively close to the hotel. No parking available, although had many options on private parking close to the hotel.

Received excellent and very warm services from Tania and Cijic. With a variety of food and kitchen menu. It was great to have breakfast here.
Best Caesar salad in town. While our booked table for 6 wasn’t happening, the staff did everything to make sure we were accommodated.
The DoubleTree is excellent. And especially the staff - takes great care of us. Thanks Tania.
