My family and I stayed at this Best Western for nearly three months while waiting to move into our new home. During that time, we spent thousands of dollars with the hotel, paying between $100 and $150 per night depending on the season.
I want to recognize the second-shift front desk clerk and the housekeeping staff, who consistently provided exceptional customer service. They were professional, welcoming, and made our extended stay much more comfortable.
Unfortunately, our experience with management was very different. Due to a temporary banking issue, a $30 charge did not process on my card. I immediately communicated that the balance would be paid. As long-term guests who had never previously left a balance and who had spent a significant amount of money at this property, I expected a little understanding and flexibility.
At check-in, the owner initially approved allowing us to stay and pay the balance. However, within minutes, while I was away from the desk, that decision was reversed and my family was informed that we could not remain at the hotel. I found this disappointing and inconsistent, especially considering our history as loyal guests.
What troubled me most was the lack of empathy, integrity, and appreciation shown toward customers who had supported the business for an extended period of time. Customer loyalty should matter, and in this situation, I felt that it did not.
I also found the conduct of the morning front desk employee concerning. In my experience, her actions lacked professionalism and contributed to an uncomfortable environment for both guests and staff.
To future guests, I encourage you to spend your money where it is valued, not merely tolerated. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and appreciation regardless of their background.
I am grateful to the housekeeping team and certain front desk employees who treated my family with kindness and respect. However, because of the way management handled this situation, I cannot recommend this location. Kindness, communication, and empathy go a long way, especially when dealing with long-term guests.
