I expected much more from a 4-star resort. Unfortunately, our stay started on a very disappointing note.
The toilet overflowed on the very first flush immediately after we checked in. It took three separate calls before housekeeping finally came to clean it up, which was frustrating and not the welcome anyone expects.
There were several other issues as well:
* The Wi-Fi barely worked throughout our stay.
* The “Guest Services” button on the room phone didn’t work, making it harder to request assistance.
* There was no extra toilet paper in the room, so we had to call for it.
* The bathroom wasn’t stocked with drinking cups.
The property itself is in a beautiful location, but the room maintenance, housekeeping response, and basic guest amenities fell well below what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. I hope management addresses these issues because the hotel has great potential, but based on this experience, it was the most disappointing 4-star hotel we’ve stayed in.
I drove from North Carolina to Georgia and I arrived at the property at 10am and I asked about early check in they told me for a fee of 50$ they could do it. Money well spent. We got our room enjoy everything Stone Mountain had to offer.
Nothing - would not recommend this property at all.

My stay at Evergreen Resort at Stone Mountain was wonderful! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and offers so many activities and attractions to enjoy throughout the park.
A special thank you to Tiffany, who was incredibly helpful during both check-in and check-out. She patiently answered all of my questions and made the entire experience smooth and welcoming.
I also want to recognize David for his outstanding knowledge of the park. He provided great information about the hiking trails, attractions, and overall things to do, which helped make my visit even more enjoyable.
The combination of excellent customer service, beautiful surroundings, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure made this a memorable stay. I highly recommend Evergreen Resort to anyone visiting Stone Mountain and look forward to returning!
Beautiful property right in the park. My grandson fished steps from the hotel.
Nice hotel, lovely pool area, didn't do the hiking trail next to the hotel due to heat/humidity. Very convenient to stay here when visiting Stone Mountain Park. A number of fellow guests were upset about the elevators not working, taking too long. As we were on the same floor as the main entrance/lobby - this was not an issue for us; but, every time we walked by the elevators on the way to our room, we heard the complaints. Loved having a Starbucks in the lobby!!
I have never been to Georgia outside of downtown Atlanta and it was just gorgeous driving out to the Lakeside resort at Stone Mountain Park! I was going for special event for fans of the soap opera DAYS OF OUR LIVES as I was on the show for six years.
JASMINE at the front desk was extremely kind and upgraded me to an absolutely fabulous one bedroom suite with hardwood floors, a large living room, a massive bedroom, and two balconies that looked over the lake. I needed this break and the clean air so badly and she elevated my experience instantly and a lot.
CARINA at the Starbucks in the lobby, seems to do nothing but smile and make the most delicious lattes. In the three days I was there I never saw her not smiling and she started every morning off with a big smile for everyone.
Shout out to HALEE for the hospitality and excellent guest services skills!
EBONI down in the tavern was working so fast and so hard the first night I was there and I watched some patrons be very rude while Eboni stayed calm and kind. I ordered the insanely delicious crispy brussels sprouts without the cheese and bacon, sweet potato fries, and a Caesar salad and the entire bill was under $22. They had to be 40 to 50 brussels sprouts and it was shockingly affordable.
I live in Los Angeles and the brussels sprouts alone would’ve been $22 at any basic café here.
The small indoor pool next to the gym is extremely heated, which is the absolute dream swim scenario for me if I’m indoors and the outside pool was absolutely perfect in the very hot air. If I can say anything that could be improved. It’s that by Sunday. The pool did not seem clean enough and I was up quite early to see if anyone might be cleaning it but no luck. One of the elevators had some missing buttons, which as a first impression gave the property a feeling of being a bit “janky” and I travel a lot and think every HOTEL should put two bottles of water in a hotel suite —but overall, I really loved it. We all did!
I forgot my sneakers so I didn’t take the walk around the lake that starts at a path right near the pool, but everyone who did said it was incredible. Each morning I sat on my balcony and watched people kayak. It was so delightful and if I ever end up back there, I will be kayaking for sure. I looked online to see what the rates are for the resort rooms and it is a wonderfully affordable vacation spot only 45 minutes from the Atlanta airport and Stone Mountain Park has a lot to offer.
This WAS a very nice resort at one time. I have stayed in the facility during that time.
It is NOT now. We are staying here for a conference. The property has not been maintained. The grounds are overgrown. The pool was a light green when we arrived. I will say it was cleared up in the following days. There has been no house keeping. We have had to call for towels, TP, and coffee every day. The carpet in the room is covered in black dog hair (the room is not listed as a pet friendly room). The outside doors on the hallways are unlocked to the outside. You do not have to use a key card. The door is open 24 hours a day to the trail that goes to a parking lot. The “hiking trail” is overgrown and should not be labeled a hiking trail. It is so disappointing and quite sad. This COULD be a true “resort” but now it’s just an average hotel at best.
Good pool, clean room
We stood in line for 30 minutes to check in. Shuttle was very unreliable and unorganized. Restaurant choices lacked variety.
