Very nice and obliging staff, who changed me to a super modern room in the new annex over the courtyard. A lovely breakfast was included. I also had a tasty meal in the restaurant in the evening at a very reasonable price. There was a welcoming open fire in the Reception.
Because the main building is old and historic, there are a lot of winding stairs and corridors (not great if you're elderly!) and I suspect you would hear the people in the next-door room.
Staff were pleasant and friendly with efficient check in and check out.
The property is historic and you certainly feel like you are staying in a bit of history.
Heating was good and we were definitely warm.
The Bathroom was clean but could do with a deep clean to make it look fresher.
Friendly reception, great open fire in foyer, very central with parking-worth researching its location as it’s accessed from a side street!
Carpets en route to the room could do with a deep clean.
I held my 20th Civil partnership in a private room.
The events manager went above and beyond(Mr.Equabar) and so hospitable/flexible when I was setting up the decor.
Food was superb and very friendly efficient front of house team(Amy) and pre-event organising team(Lillian)
Cooked breakfast great. Lovely restaurant team
The Crown was a lovely building with a lot of original features. The bed was comfortable and shower facilities were good.
Walking into my room what hit me first were the large rips on the net roller curtain and it looked as old as the building, needs replacing. Maybe a reflection of how difficult Labour have made the hospitality industry but the Breakfast could be improved as bacon and sausage looked cheap, sorry.
Friendly staff and very helpful, a bit of a trek to get to the room. Maybe a few rugs on the floorboards as the wood was a bit rough in places.
Parking arrangements were atrocious
Location + breakfast
The lady at the reception rolled her eyes when I asked a few questions about what to do around Little Amersham. I specifically asked if the museum was open (it was a Tuesday), and she told me it was. Unfortunately, that wasn’t accurate—the museum is actually closed every Tuesday. Whenever we asked for guidance or tourist recommendations, it felt as though we were being a bother. It’s a shame, because everything else was lovely!
It was centrally located, easy access to central London (by car or by rail) and easy to visit sites surrounding the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the property was within walking distance to several restaurants.
The entrance to the hotel is a little uneven, and there were steps and stairs throughout the property, so a challenge for people with limited mobility.
Absolutely perfect as always! I love this hotel.
I liked the location.
The room was cold on arrival on a very cold day. The room and surrounding interior area could do with a bit of a make over, rather shabby. The window in the room didn’t shut properly so added to the coolness. The cushions in the room were ridiculous too large and little space to put them on the floor. Also very unhygienic with stains on them.
All good.
We had a dinner in the restaurant and was very disappointed with the dinner. We did mention it and to their credit they did not charge us for the meal.
Clean and comfortable. The location was exactly what I needed. Breakfast was decent too and staff were all very helpful.
The bathroom was extremely cold. Wifi was very poor so it was difficult to get any internet.
