The location was ideal and we loved the history and culture of Amersham Old Town.
We liked everything.
Clean
A lovely old coaching inn right in the heart of old Amersham. Good car parking at the rear. Spacious, comfortable room and very attentive, polite staff.
Television reception was poor and channels bit minimal.
Location, onsite parking, well mannered and welcoming staff.
Our en suite bathroom door didn’t shut. The second light in the bathroom was practically not working.
The faucet for the bathroom was terrible in terms of water distribution.
The mattress dipped massively in a spot causing an uncomfortable sleep.
The air conditioning which admittedly was a very nice touch for this property made loud sounds every few minutes.
The room was lovely, open space along with a work table.
Had dinner and a few drinks, along with breakfast.
No faults with regards the food or staff.
Fantastic value for money
Everything was perfect
Quaint.
Clean updated rooms in old part of hotel, staff were exemplary, good price, and very nice atmosphere. Breakfast included was above expectations.
The new section could use some updating to the carpets, however I did not stay in that part.
Very nice place, nice breakfast, comfy room amd bed. Friendly helpful staff.
The hotel is gorgeous, with many charming and characterful features. The rooms are beautiful and the hotel sits, right in the middle of Old Amasham, with delightful independent shops, cafes and restaurants all around. The breakfast offers a great choice and the serving staff are very helpful. It is one of our favourite hotels.
This time, we were unfortunately above a noisy vent from the kitchen. Luckily, this was turned off around 10pm, so didn’t affect our sleep.
Lovely old building. We had a 16th century wall painting in our room!
Everything - Staff - Food - Service - all aspects of room location
We had Room 8 and shower was poor -- unable to adjust - not suitable for child use in present condition
Well located clean modern attractive rooms
Staff was very pleasant. The room was clean. Air conditioning was wonderful.
The location and the staff were wonderful & the breakfasts were very good, although there was a miscommunication regarding breakfast time on the Saturday. It was supposed to be 10:30, we got there for 10:00 and were told the breakfast had finished due to them having a wedding that day. They had cleared out the breakfast room of all tables & chairs and were bringing in wedding seating. The staff were supposed to have told all guests the night before about the timings. Anyway it was soon rectified and they managed to serve us a lovely breakfast in the restaurant after speaking to chef. The girl who arranged this for us was fantastic…very attentive & couldn’t apologise enough…thank you!
I wouldn’t say the rooms were anything like we have stayed in before that was 4 star. Very basic & dated/worn. I know it’s an extremely old property and that brings the charm but the tv, kettle, iron etc were very old and made it feel a bit neglected. Just an honest review. I was told we’d been upgraded to a deluxe room…there was nothing deluxe about this room in my opinion.
