Needs some refurbishing
Great location and beautiful historic building. Breakfast was cooked to order with a great choice. Beautiful contemporary decor.
Our room was on 2 floors which meant going up and down stairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet. Plumbing needed looking at as the shower didn’t drain away quickly enough.
The only positives were the friendly barman and the comfortable bed. That is all I can say which was good
The room was extremely basic, the shower did not work, the breakfast was very badly cooked, the waiter was extremely unfriendly. Wildly overpriced for what is is.
Really liked the location in the heart of the wonderful old Amersham.
The staff were really helpful
We really liked the style and decor of the hotel
It was close to the Restaurant we were visiting for a birthday celebration
The bar, restaurant and breakfast room needed updating with soft furnishings to take away the cold look of it… and give it a cosier feel.
Good free parking. Lovely room with excellent bathroom. Great location and helpful receptionist.
Good location, nice rooms, different to standard hotel rooms and had character
Noisy if you stay on the front. Noise from road and restaurant below
Great place to stay for a weekend of rugby at Twickenham .
Courtyard rooms are beautiful and amazingly done. Hotel staff go above and beyond and are so friendly. Very central and just opposite the lovely little market. Nice and quiet at night.
Breakfast was not of the quality I would expect for this price and the breakfast staff were nowhere near the service standard of everybody else, somewhat surly in some cases. Room could do with a tad more storage, we were only there for one night but a longer stay would have meant a lot of clothes lying around on surfaces.
Very nice and obliging staff, who changed me to a super modern room in the new annex over the courtyard. A lovely breakfast was included. I also had a tasty meal in the restaurant in the evening at a very reasonable price. There was a welcoming open fire in the Reception.
Because the main building is old and historic, there are a lot of winding stairs and corridors (not great if you're elderly!) and I suspect you would hear the people in the next-door room.
Staff were pleasant and friendly with efficient check in and check out.
The property is historic and you certainly feel like you are staying in a bit of history.
Heating was good and we were definitely warm.
The Bathroom was clean but could do with a deep clean to make it look fresher.
