We booked a superior room were given an adapted room on the ground floor - spacious and comfortable but only warm/hot water available in the bathroom which seemed odd. We were given extra bottles of water to compensate for this but even so, not great brushing teeth in hot water!

Beautifully restored and bedrooms were lovely. Huge bed which was so comfortable.
Food and drink were both fantastic and staff superb!
No bathroom plug for shaver/toothbrush. Also more hangers needed.

The breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. In a restaurant of that quality, I do not expect white sliced bread to be the only bread option.
A brilliant central location for a grand but very friendly hotel. My room, which wasn't a deluxe one, had loads of space and a feel of bedroom being well separated from the sometimes-busy hallway. Everything was well appointed, special note to a generous walk-in shower and beautiful textiles. Also a special note for the lovely and expert bar staff who enjoyed my (tastefully) working my way through the cocktail specials.
My room looked out the back; not a beautiful view and some unfortunate building works on my last day.

Lovely hotel perfectly located in the heart of the city. Very comfortable room with all facilities. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely breakfast buffet with plenty of options. The bar does fantastic cocktails, We really enjoyed our stay.
Hotel car park was not available so had to park at central car park about 8 minutes walk away. Small point, although the breakfast was great the coffee was awful weak filter coffee -- They should have a modern coffee machine as a option for people who like modern stronger coffee. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would stay again.
