Beautiful grounds,beautiful building

The grounds
The amenities were quite old.
Plus they don’t answer their front desk calls.
I rang in vain after I left about my clothes that I left behind but one ever picked the phones.
I even rang the other Berystede who tried to reach them on my behalf to avail. Very disappointing.
The customer service number online isn’t functional. This is not good marketing.
Staff
Shabby facilities
Good location, quiet rooms, staff in restaurant friendly
Room was cramped and fittings generally dated. Car got hit in the car park.. spaced small.. but not hotels fault
The decor and character were very attractive and unique. The entrance hall is particularly immpressive,
Location and staff
No water in room. Bathrooms looking dated.Spa tired and needs upgrading. Sauna out of order showers need replacing steam room smells of mushrooms, some eucalyptus oil or similar in steam room would be nice
Die Ansicht vom Eingang und die Eingangshalle ist wunderschön, der Rest sind Anbauten die nicht zum Stil passen.
Sehr schade.
Das Frühstück ist vielseitig.
Location was perfect for what I required.
My first room was dirty and had hair in the bed. However, this was dealt with promptly and I was moved to another room. The grounds which the rooms overlook are generally untidy and could do with tidying up. At breakfast, I was asked if I would like anything off the menu that would be prepared by the kitchen. On the menu is an option of an English Breakfast but when asked for I advised to help myself from the self service buffet and they will order the black pudding as a side. All seemed a bit pointless it being on there.
The rooms are air conditioned. Lovely room. Very comfy bed. Very clean.
There wasn't anything we disliked.
Verouderde kamers, slechte matrassen en bedden. Matig ontbijt. Zelfs geen 2 sterren waardig. Zeer lawaaierige omgeving.
Nothing
Our room was a both an event until midday.
Struggled to park.
Hotels dated
Restaurants crowded
Beautiful hotel very close to town at the end of a housing estate which was a bit weird
Food menu, pool area was very dark, steam room not working
Amazing scenic place cheap for what it is.
Full spa access
Went for the spa weekend which was rather disappointing.
Hotel and staff at the hotel (not the spa) were exceptional. Don't expect tge same level of excellence in the spa from any of spa reception staff (1star) or quality of spa treatments and facilities. Treatments are WAY overpriced for what they offer.
Hotel stay fantastic.
Restaurant food..OK, not exceptional but staff 5star for service.
Spa everything and everyone about it. The quiet room.is nice though.
Beautiful building inside and out. Comfortable clean room. Dinner was excellent.
Cannot think of anything
