Location and bar lounge area are lovely
Crack in sink , used teabag in cup , blocked toilet . Overpriced breakfast
Plus when i cancelled a booking , the wrong rooms got cancelled on the hotel system so i had to pay extra £20 to fix it for nothing in return
Some of the staff seemed a little inattentive but the gentleman that worked in the bar was extremely helpful and friendly.
The bed was extremely comfortable and spacious.
I loved that the room came equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits, bottled water and toiletries.
I liked the coded doors to get in and they let us in the room a bit earlier.
The pool was quite big and very warm.
The bathroom did have some dirty parts.. The bath rails had finger prints and the toilet roll holder was covered in lots of dust.
The breakfast is not complimentary and highly priced.
I had to leave the pool early, but it was because a member of staff needed medical attention. I dont really want to add this as a complaint but there was another member of staff in the pool area so I was confused that we had to vacate the pool.
Staff were professional, well run and I will return
Very welcoming hotel, great food, very comfy beds
Excellent value for money. The bed was comfortable and it was a great size room.
The bathroom needs a bit of a refresh.
Nice location
Fee for parking, poor communication
It was right on the North Downs path and allowed dogs in the room which was amazing for us as walkers.
It was quite outdated
The bar and room was nice.
They did not clean the room and when after asking they did, they left one towel between the 2 of us. No water. No more coffee or milk. Again had to go down to reception and ask.
Pizza in restaurant was under done then waited for 15 minutes and it was over done. Service was poor. They had no idea what table was eating what meal. It was comical!
Comfortable bed and great garden area for the dog.
Our first stay with the new owners. A great location for exploring Box Hill. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good food.
The hotel is looking a little tired and in need of redecoration.
Breakfast was okay but the mushrooms were from a tin and sausages were not very meaty.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Good value if you don’t add on any extras.
We only stayed for two nights but the parking and cost for our dog added another £50 to the bill. We were also going to have breakfast but that would have added another £50 so not good value. Our room opened onto a grass area where people in the other rooms let their dogs out to poo on the grass and didn’t pick it up. In fact one small dog didn’t even seem to be supervised-just let out on its own. Disgusting and irresponsible.
We always clean up our dog’s poo but couldn’t find a bin to put it in!
The hotel needs to address both of these issues.
Staff were wonderful
Little bit hot in the room, the window only opened very slightly but this is a very minor criticism
