I have stayed at many Holiday Inn hotels over the years for both business and leisure, and while the hotel itself and the room met the standard I would expect, the food at Holiday Inn Gatwick was extremely disappointing.
The evening meal was one of the worst hotel meals I have experienced. It was dry, overcooked, and lacked any flavour. Unfortunately, breakfast was no better. The food appeared to be heavily reliant on deep-fried items, leaving everything greasy, unappetising, and difficult to enjoy. The overall quality was far below what I would expect from a hotel of this standard, especially considering the prices being charged.
While the accommodation was comfortable and the staff were pleasant, the dining experience was a major let-down and significantly impacted my stay. I would consider staying here again because of the hotel’s convenient location and decent rooms, but I would strongly recommend eating elsewhere and avoiding the restaurant altogether.
We had a decent overnight stay before a flight. The room was clean but the A/C was broken and stuck on 19 degrees, making for a rather chilly night as we couldn't get the room warmer than what it was.
The food was nice (slightly on the expensive side but that's airport hotels for you) and the service from Robert was top notch. Very helpful and great with the little one.
The locations is convenient with regular busses to the terminal. Not too noisy.
Breakfast inc staff on duty
Rubbish ac in bedroom. Poor quality in room coffee, zero welcome.
Near the airport.
They had no water for the rooms.
Breakfast and staff
Rooms ok but so many wasn't tp the usual standard
Nice room , very quiet
It was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and professional.
The toilets in the rooms were far too low. I wrenched my back sitting on it for the first time as I had a broken arm and didn’t expect it to be that low. The bathtub shower was very difficult to get into as the door was not working. It was impossible and dangerous with a broken arm. The food in the restaurant was good but there was very little in terms of gluten-free options.
Great stat
Convenient lactation 10 minutes from airport and the hoops transfer bus was in time and took 10 minutes
Restaurant was great and Vida looked after our every need , age was great
Food was great but expensive
Drinks were good but expensive as airport prices go
But for convenience would recommend a stay
Very good for Gatwick airport
prices could be lower
Fabulous overnight trip, could not fault it. Meal was really good and 'Vida' who served us was very efficient and personable. Would 100% recommend.
One night stay with 8days parking very easy to check in very pleasant staff good choice off food in the restaurant excellent service from Gail in the restaurant and the Chef on the day Roland who on learning it was our anniversary produced a little treat for myself and wife , shuttle bus every 20 mins to and from Gatwick Airport, will definitely use again
Rena is the most amazing lady she has outstanding customer service I stay a lot for work in hotels rena is by far the best thank you
Sadly a “never go again” experience. A glum welcome, reception unaware of our booking choice despite e mail confirmation, no smiles or apology. Room stuffy with no effective a/c, over thick duvet, an uncomfortable night. Unable to purchase any snacks. Low quality in room coffee and insufficient milk. Lots of early noise from other guests. Breakfast service was good, friendly and welcoming. Hotel hard to access except by expensive shuttle bus or car. Don’t even think about going.
