Cons:

The staff left us sitting waiting to order a drink for nearly 30min so we walked out. Emailed the general manager who ignored the email.
Our shower only has boiling hot water and no cold

Pros:

Second visit. Stayed in the main building. Accessed by beautiful staircase. Nice sized room with view over side of the weir. Some noise from a kitchen extractor but not too intrusive. Great restaurants to choose from too.

Cons:

If I have to say something, I would prefer a walk in shower.

Great location

Cons:

The hearing was stuck on in our room. And we were unable to open the window.
The toilet seat in our room was too small for the basin. So you were unable to sit down to use the toilet. Meaning that my partner had to go down to the toilets in reception.
We mentioned this to the staff, who said that they would ask maintenance to look it after our departure.
Being able to use the toilet isn’t an added bonus or a nice to have, it’s a basic requirement, especially considering the price of the hotel stay, very disappointing

Disappointed.
Pros:

Location and view were great.

Cons:

Breakfast was awful, sausages were inedible, glad they didn't try to charge the £6 supplement for the Eggs Benedict. Only 1 robe, 1 small soap for two sinks, shower waste blocked, no flannels provided. Overall the whole hotel is quite tired and needs a refurbishment. Very hard to find anyone to serve in the bar.

Lovely room overlooking the river. Checking in and out was quick and easy with reception staff friendly and informative.

Great location , needs attention

Dog friendly historic hotel in a superb location on the river by the beodge

It has definitely seen better days and the rooms need updating and the staff, although friendly are a bit standoffish ... And the welcome is formal not very hospitable ..
