Stayed for one night but we had an excellent night's sleep. The restaurant attached to the hotel is closed but a cooked breakfast buffet was provided in the old restaurant. Our only complaint would be that the fridge in our room wasn't working.
The reception staff and dining staff were amazing during our first stay. My husband (79) managed to dislocate his shoulder at 6.30 am and staff helped me to organise an ambulance to A&E . When we returned they made sure we had access to breakfast even though it had finished and made sure that we had help with luggage when we departed. We returned a week later for the weekend and were welcomed warmly.
We liked everything…..no complaints whatsoever!
So got back at 11.10 - left a drinks event - said for a quick nightcap. Drinks aren't everything- but its a £200 plus a night venue - poaitionwd as a full service hotel. "Bar is closed" was the message. They dont have a bar - its table service. So I say surely as a resident- NO. But you can wander down the road. So I say ive paid 220. Ive apparently paid for breakfast which I can't make. There's no legal constraints- surely you can just... NO. Got a nightcap at a wine bar down the road. Very nice. Not a big deal - but why wouldn't you serve a customer when you can??? Every decent hotel I've ever been to offers a room service equivalent. Will never stay there again..any service provider that says I can but I wont ....
Location
Great location
Another hotel chain that is incapable of supplying descent pillows! More like slabs
Very convenient area. Central Oxford
It was very tired. And not clean. Windows did not open in some rooms.
Central location and friendly staff. Room was slightly tired and could do with an update but was still comfortable for a weekend stay.
Good location for may morning celebrations
Weird smell - halfway between dust and something gone bad - even in the newer built annexe
Location was excellent. All staff we encountered very polite and helpful. Wine in room a nice touch.
Nothing I can think of.
Perfect location
Posizione centralissima, colazione buona
Camere piccoline, terzo piano raggiungibile solo a piedi dal secondo piano. Armadio piccolo. Pulizia approssimativa (ragnatele alla finestra). Una macchina per il caffè espresso con le cialde sarebbe stata gradita
The room was great but the conditioner was empty. I probably should have asked for some but I would have had to get out if the shower get to reception get it then get back in😂 Only stayed one night.
More conditioner he he
Stayed at the Mecure Oxford Eastgate Hotel this past weekend on business as part of a festival. The accommodation was great, the setting brilliantly located and the breakfast fantastic. But the real standout was the customer service. My car battery annoyingly died on the first night. The staff - particular mention to Raghav on reception - were absolutely fantastic at helping to coordinate with the RAC to get it fixed. I was unable to keep my phone on to arrange matters during the day, and they took care of everything. Above and beyond. Highly recommend!
