Nope....
Pros:

The entire hotel smelled of sewage, including the room. Although the corridors were warm, the room itself was cold. I reported this to the reception and was promised that the issue would be addressed, but nothing was done. In addition, the sink drained poorly and the toilet flushing was weak and slow, at times making me worry that the water might overflow.

Pros:

Really lovely room, comfy bed and great shower. Coffee machine provided in room as well as towelling robe and slippers - much appreciated!

Cons:

Breakfast was a buffet of mid quality - better breakfasts available in cafes nearby.

Pros:

Хороший вкусный завтрак за адекватные деньги. Приятное старое здание с лифтом. 5-7 минут пешком до самого центра города. Чисто.

Cons:

В ванной при заселении был неприятный запах. Также там было холодно (в ванной есть окно, а сейчас зима).

Experience at Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel
Pros:

We were very happy with our stay. The location is perfect it is a short walk away from most attractions and places to eat. The rooms and the hotel overall were very clean and spacious and we had a great view. We were provided with many amenities with our room like a mini fridge with free drinks, an espresso machine and free toiletries. The staff were amazing! They were friendly, helpful and professional. We were a bit disappointed that we could not get our fan in our room to work or the heating but overall the hotel is great value for money. We would 100% stay again.

Nice hotel, great location. Expect slow check in and plan to go out for breakfast. Cafes nearby!

Nice room, great location close to the city centre. Easy booking process and paid on arrival.

Cons:

Check in process was woefully inefficient. 10mins wait for three people in front of us. Lots of shuffling a pieces of pre-printed forms that didn't appear to have been sorted into any order. One staff member left to manage all checking in customers while other staff members wandered past the reception desk without helping. Price quoted for breakfast nearly double what we paid in a nearby cafe.
