Not happy
Pros:

Facilities were great

Cons:

The breakfast was atrocious. Everything was raw. I’d expect a lot better for £12, beating in mind it would have been £17 if not booked the night before The staff didn’t seem to care when we complained

A nice location but a fundamental mould problem in many rooms. the cost is outrageous considering
Pros:

the berakfast was fine, but there is no resturant in the hotel. the room I was finally given was ok

Cons:

there is a foul smell in the lounge and most rooms in a certain wing of the hotel. I had to ask fro another room when I arrived! Also, the heater in the room didn't work properly.

A stay defined by discomfort, sleepless nights, and a level of neglect that made leaving early feel like the only relief
Pros:

Just the location, as it’s central and within a 10-minute walk of shops and restaurants.

Cons:

Don’t go here if you value sleep or basic comfort.

Too many things about this place were off-putting:
1. I was given a room in a different building and had to carry heavy luggage down a flight of stairs with zero assistance.
2. It was a special occasion, yet reception didn’t bother to check my preferences for the complimentary gift and left wine in the room, even though I don’t drink alcohol.
3. The bed and pillows were a complete nightmare. The mattress was extremely stiff and the pillows were flat. I didn’t sleep for two nights straight. I even asked reception for better pillows, but they had nothing to offer. It got so bad that I checked out a day early just to get some rest at my own house.
4. The lift felt outdated, slow, and creaky, completely out of place with the rest of the hotel.
5. There was a persistent musty smell in the reception area.

Overall, a very uncomfortable stay and not somewhere I would return to.

Pros:

We had a lovely time . Just the peace and quiet being in the cusp of the busy centre. Literally a five minute walk to all x really lovely , and the staff we met were lovey x

Cons:

Nothing. Old building , character and creeks but all added to its personality

Pros:

Location was lovely

Cons:

I was allocated a room on the third floor. The lift only goes to the second floor and I had to carry my heavy suitcase up the flight of stairs. No offer of assistance was given. Staff when I collected my key and informed of my room stated.. it’s a few steps. It was not a few steps.
