The style
All good
No slippers or dressing gown. For a hotel this good I would expect that. My spa treatment was lovely but the noise from the corridor outside the treatment room was constant and took the edge off the experience
Great location in the centre of Oxford, - and 15 minutes easy walk from the Train Station.
Lovely old hotel, with past style very appealing. Very friendly Reception staff - Thelma and Eric. (Thank you).
But nice restaurant and bar areas in hotel. Recommend it.
Breakfast too expensive for us vegetarians - buffet not a help as same price. (So went outside round the corner for breakfast. Lots of choice).
Meal prices in hotel bit expensive. That's all.
The hotel and rooms were beautiful.
Bed really comfy and the food were good.
Bar staff and restaurant Alice staff were friendly and helpful.
Reception staff were not great. Didn’t explain where the rooms were located and that there was no lift access to this part of the hotel, which had steps. Also didn’t let us know what charges were made on check out and didn’t get a receipt.
The pillows were quite uncomfortable. I stayed there to celebrate my birthday and had requested a few small celebratory touches, such as a birthday card, which they had agreed to arrange, but nothing was provided. We were so disappointed that we didn’t complete our stay and left a day early. Unfortunately, the receptionist made no effort to address the issue or offer any form of resolution or compensation.
The whole hotel was lovely so was the room. A wonderful view from the room. Also the staff couldn't do enough for us. Definitely thinking about a return visit.
The price of the breakfast was a little bit too steep.
The room was lovely.
Breakfast charge was very hight for what we got. And very surprised that there was a supplement for guests to use the spa.
The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated
Good breakfast choices
The staff were super friendly and helpful
There was a smell in the bathroom (drains?)
The scrambled eggs were not hot
Incredible service, top tier. Just water pressure issues but honestly beyond my wildest expectations
Water pressure
Lovely room, great location, very handy for Oxford Parkway - park & ride bus from there drops you just across the road from hotel and picks up just round the corner - very reasonable and includes return bus tickets. Staff at hotel very friendly & helpful.
Happy with the hotel - no issues.
Beautiful - excellent location and very friendly team
I requested a quiet room through booking.com, but had a roadside room and plenty of noise. To make it worse our AC wasn’t functional so and we couldn’t open the windows as that made the noise worse. This was a social trip and only 1 night so the above did take the shine off
Love the hotel. Fantastic location & staff were friendly and very helpful .
Nothing
Proximity to event and general aspect
Creaky floors
An excellent staircase, great valet parking service, lovely people. Some solid wood and whiskeys.
The ghost of morse
Location and staff brilliant.
Food lovely
The bedroom was a little noisy. I think it was the water system filling up when you flushed the toilet.
Such a charming building and decor. Our twin room was spacious and tasteful without being overbearing.
Great beds, lovely shower, comfortable room temperature. Can’t fault it. Location excellent. One of the lifts was out of action, but as we were on the second floor it was a pleasure to walk up the beautiful staircase….exercise! Great and varied breakfast…. Scrambled eggs delicious. Valet parking very convenient, but not cheap. All the staff were welcoming and very helpful. A lovely relaxing stay.
It’s rare to find a genuine luxury hotel that is also dog friendly. Great staff, very helpful, lovely room with a good view and very clean. It was nice to relax in the Morse Bar at the end of the day. Perfectly located for historic Oxford and the Colleges.
Nothing
