This is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms, lovely helpful staff and excellent facilities. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts in the Alice restaurant and relaxing in the Morse bar in the evening. Its central location could not have been better for what we wanted to do in Oxford.
The air-conditioning was a bit noisy, though I was deeply grateful for it all the same! The afternoon teas in the drawing room were rather inflexible; it seemed impossible to have a simple tea with scone rather than a cream tea or full afternoon tea.
Breakfast was good but EXPENSIVE.
Location great. Room was OK, except that the hotel has no a/c (it dates from 1866 and can't be retrofitted, I was told), and breakfast was quite good -- though the dining room was uncomfortably hot.
See above.
The Randolph Hotel is the perfect place if you plan to explore the city. All sights are in walking distance and the Ashmolean Museum is directly opposite. The staff had been extremely helpful and friendly. The room keys feature historic celebrities that used to stay at the hotel. We got „Oscar Wilde“ which we found hilarious. Our room had been cosy, not too large. But during the days, we anyway explored the city. Breakfast at the Alice had been great and delicious. The carrot cake is worth a try… We will be back.
All had been great
The room floor was slanting
Staff rather unfriendly
Location is lovely, right opposite the Ashmolean and close to shops and restaurants but in a quiet street.
The breakfast was low quality for the price and standard of hotel. The decor was a bit tired. The “view” advertised was through a high window that was hard to reach to see out of.
Perfect central Oxford location with a wonderful historic atmosphere
Nothing negative
Location, breakfast and above all the excellent and friendly customer service.
