Kamila is absolutely the best! This is the best treatment I have ever had in my life. Thank you!
Great help at the bar from Barbara
The location is excellent. The history and architecture are enduring. The room was nicely decorated.
The staff weren’t exceptional. The beds were far too soft for our liking. Breakfast was average at best. Overpriced for the experience.
The staff were cheerful, polite and attentive, offering exceptional service.
The building and public areas transport you to a forgotten era defined by calm and elegance.
Unfortunately our room was in the attic. Whilst it was a good size and furnished with the same charm and elegance, the attic structure, limited natural light and atmospheric decor made it feel a little claustrophobic.
As you can see, our view was definitely more utility pipes than dreaming spires.
We mentioned this to reception, the manager gave us the option of an upgrade, but as we were heading out for a dinner reservation decided against repacking, unpacking and incurring further costs.
Overall, a pleasant stay, but room 408 did not feel like good value for the amount we paid.
Then.... the lift broke down. The only one to the 4th floor, the Attic rooms.
Unpredictable and no-one's fault, but a real inconvenience. 🙄
PS. If you really want 5* amenities, take your own toilet paper, theirs is very cheap.
An all round lovely stay. An old fashioned hotel with a very individual atmosphere and excellent customer service. Everyone from front desk to the breakfast service was helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Paul and Fahad at concierge who haul luggage up flights of stairs with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great location opposite the Ashmolean and near everything. Lovely room & bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast options. Friendly & efficient staff.
Nothing, all good.
I did not think the breakfast was very good
excellent room
very good breakfast
excellent location
Staff could be a bit faster
Value ok - but very expensive at 500 pounds a roon
Best service, special thanks to Kuunal, up and beyond. Also, thank you to Telma, Samuel, Erick, and the ladies at the Spa.
Very well prepared food with good flavours. Maitre d really knows his stuff. Honestly positively surprised as I don’t expect chain hotels to be this good.
Only reason not 5 stars is they were understaffed vs their demand and everyone seemed rushed off their feet.
The experience as a whole was lovely but as a 5* hotel I expected everything to be perfect and it wasn’t. Drive by car. Had to wait for concierge to park our car. £48 a night parking is excessive. Not enough staff in bar or restaurant resulting in long waits. For example we had a meal in the restaurant and I’d finished my main course before my glass of wine turned up. My room although quaint was tiny considering the charge of £450 per night. Again this was excessive. As I said a lot of positives but if you’re known as I 5* hotel then you need some improvements
Ohne Ansprache keine Bestellung. Die Kellner mussten offenbar das Restaurant "mitversorgen".
Fantastic hotel. The service from staff were excellent! We felt very welcome!
Restaurant service was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The food was great though!
Everything
Nothing
Location
Small niggles such as waiting too long for drinks at the bar and restaurant. Over priced rooms as well. This is not a five star hotel
The Randolph hosted my Graduation Celebration and I couldn't have been more thrilled with the service from Rebecca in the Events department and our private dining waiter. My guests were catered to in advance and they even accommodated three extra guests last minute which was amazing! The food was lovely and great value at just £35 for a three course meal. One of our guests stayed over and the single room was tastefully decorated with a charming print of Oscar Wilde above the bed. There were twelve of us and we all had a ball! The evening went better than I could have hoped for and I really can't thank the team at The Randolph for making my day extra special. Five stars for this five star historic venue.
All rooms have the same design look. Fridge was a good addition to the room. Very central. Beautiful restaurant / bar / lounge with many elegant design features. Staff very helpful at reception
I booked a king room but we were given two single beds pushed together with one higher than the other. The shower head was very stiff and would not stay in place. However, when this was brought to the attention of reception, we were given another room. No shower caps in the bathroom or other things like cotton pads etc which are normally found in hotels of this standard. Bar staff were very over worked and insisted on bringing drinks to your table when we could have easily carried them ourselves.
Nice rooms, lovely staff. Fantastic location. Lovely bar with great cocktails. Great air con for summer stay. Niggles- spa is £20 to even just go to sauna. Parking is £48 a day. I feel for a 5 star hotel spa access should be included, specially as no gym.
