Enjoyable stay and would certainly stay there again.
Pros:

Great location, helpful staff, excellent breakfast.

Cons:

Lacked bar space to sit and have a drink. The space by reception was always crowded and a bit draughty.

Wonderful wellness centre staff and treatments, lovely room, great location and food.
Pros:

Staff were friendly on reception and in the wellness centre. The staff serving breakfast were not as helpful.

Cons:

For the price of the room it was surprising that access to the spa was not included and breakfast on top.
At breakfast there was no menu provided but food was available from the kitchen which we didn’t know about.
Staff at reception tried to charge 3 times for an additional bed which had been arranged and paid for already. My mum was approached in the bar to settle the remaining items the night before checking out, despite there being a credit card on file. This was unnecessary and caused additional stress.

I'd definitely go back
Pros:

Great location, great character unlike all these souless generic hotel rooms, I loved all the decor throughout the hotel. Very comfy bed, if you like soft. Lovely tea, coffee and biscuit selection in the room. Great amenities.

Cons:

Rooms are on the small side, our room wasn't exceptionally clean, needed a good dust.

The bar stops serving food in the afternoon earlier than I'd have liked, so unfortunately we had to go elsewhere to eat. But overall would go back again.

All in all accommodation first class
Pros:

First class location . Immaculate hotel

Cons:

As per usual I find the toasters used at Hilton Hotels for breakfast are a waste of space and time . Wasted bread at side of them as people give up , you can either try to put it through 3 times or alternatively set your toast on fire. Plus food warm rather than hot .
Evening meals main part ie chicken and pork chop in our case that we ordered was perfect but veg accompaniments were not nice. Would prefer real new potatoes and fresh green beans and real chips . Beautifully served though and great staff which is a shame

Pros:

location and atmosphere

Cons:

in general a bit too “old” and run down: old and smelly carpets in the corridor 3rd floor -bathroom essentials limited, shower head old - not very clean… not great for a 5 stars hotel
