The room was lovely, a little small but very cosy. The bed was very comfortable, very accommodating to dogs which is great. Breakfast was nice and staff were really pleasant and friendly.
Water pressure in the shower was low. I could hear the TV in a neighbouring room.

Great location for shops, restaurants, bars, club etc. Check out at 12 is good.
Arrived at reception and said hello to the ladies on the desk, only to be completely ignored. I just stood there with no acknowledgement of my presence for around 5 minutes. Parking very confusing. When I asked reception about the discounted parking I read about online, I was told there is no such thing. Turns out there is discounted parking at the rear of the hotel.
Bed was really hard. Bathroom makes awful loud fan noise when light is switched on, very annoying. Shower didn't work properly, to get any warm water you only get a little dribble with no water pressure. Appreciate its an old building but I could hear every floor board above and around me whenever anyone walked or moved. This noise woke me early and continued for several hours until I assume the guests above finally checked out.

I stayed in room 226. The water pressure from the shower did not meet my expectations.
On some occasions, the room was on the chilly side and I was unable to get the heating system to operate to warm it.
On other occasions, I wanted some ventilation. The sash window is not working properly. In order to keep it partially open, I had to resort to jamming one of my shoes into the opening.
The location was excellent.
I loved the view of the cathedral from my window.
The station was not far from hotel so further travel was convenient.
