Check in. We weren’t given a map of the hotel campus. The facilities also weren’t explained- as in what was available to use.
Good breakfast, comfotable spacious room and pleasant staff.
Air conditioning system in the bedroom was not very effective.
The shower over the bath was pretty poor.
The bar prices were a little on the excessive side probably reflecting the city is tourist based
Hotel was ok, clean and friendly Staff
Booked expecting a Hotel of this description to be in private Grounds
Unfortunately this Hotel is not with busy Roads and Traffic views from windows all within 50 yds surrounding Hotel.
One view is the Fuel service Station.
Stratford on Avon has lots of shops and Restaurants that make the stay enjoyable.
Will look at exact location and surrounding area more closely in Future
A very dated experience but in the non positive way. The original manor still breathes some history but the other later built buildings where me room was felt very outdated and was lacking maintenance. Carpet was loose and raffled, bed was too soft and too short, bathroom tiling was cracked and the shower head was at my shoulders height. Also the water pressure from the shower was appalling.
Breakfast was mediocre at best. Poor fruit selection no fresh apples or bananas available, extremely poor coffee, no scrambled eggs by default only some chewy fried eggs.
In general, the lighting was very poor. Very bright white light instead of warm yellowish lighting which would’ve made a great difference in atmosphere. Also in the room there was this bright white light which made me feel in an office rather than a hotel room inside of a manor.
Good location, nice breakfast, large beds, nice lounge areas
Bedroom was a bit dated in comparison to the rest of the property. Social areas a bit small.
Really close to town and nice to have access to a swimming pool. The staff were lovely too.
The fact that parking was chargeable wasn’t made obvious on booking.
I liked the old part of the building but overall little ambiance and in need of some tlc so staying in a lovely room was a little unnecessary as could have done with some attention
Some of the staff could with more training as were not very friendly but some were excellent. My friend was hugely disappointed to be told the day before that she could not have her chosen room for the first night and was put in a very substandard room instead which was very unfortunate as it was a special trip for her. Her treatment at breakfast left much to be desired as well so we didn’t use the restaurant again. A rather rude man on the spa reception as well.
Location , room size was good . Staff were friendly and helpful. Great for our dog lovely grounds and easy location to everything in strattford.
Staff were exceptionally helpful.Room was just right for a very short overnight stay.Ĺocation for a theatre visit ideal.Charging points and large car park an addad bonus.
Everything was good for a quick turnaround stay. Not able to enjoy any of facilities this time.
Great location
The location is great and the bedroom was comfortable.
There needs to be more honesty about the number of steps. There is no lift. I have minor mobility issues and, had I known, I would not have stayed there. Also, there is no boiling water tap/kettle to make tea at the breakfast buffet. Tea is not made properly with hot water - it is made with boiling water.
Close to town
