Stunning building
Very warm room and should have summer quilts on bed, air con not working very good
Location to town centre is good, and on site parking (even though you have to pay for it).
Parts of our room need updating, like in the bathroom, a bit tired looking. The tv remote didn’t work properly, electric socket was loose, no fridge in the room (even though there was space for one) and no complimentary water.
Great central location. Very clean rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location
The aircon didn’t work, the spa was dirty, the hairdryer started smoking.
The location was excellent
Sadly there was no air con in the room. When we were given our room key, we walked to the end of the hotel to find that the room we had been given, was already occupied! I was really cross about this, as we could have been anyone and helped ourselves to other people's belongings. Luckily the occupants were not in their room. Did not give me much faith with their security. Could not use the restaurant after 7pm because of a wedding, even though I was not told this when I booked the room. Could not use certain areas of the bar because of the private function.
Spa gym close to town
No air conditioning in room. Little ventilation since window did not open very far. So bad we went home early. Horrible small bedroom in one of the horrible cheap buildings behind the beautiful old manor house. What a terrible experience. You think you are getting quality until you are disappointed by what is behind the facade.

No air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. We were there during a heatwave. People with heat issues and elderly people should be explicitly advised to consider staying there during warm days. We are a young couple without health issues and we couldn’t stay a second night

Room was cold and no heating. Quite dated decor. Modern room in a new wing of an historic building.
Nice and clean
We had a group of 50 of us meeting for a university reunion and the hotel managed to cope with lots of changes of plans etc. We had a lovely separate dining room for dinner and also drinks on the Terrace beforehand and some of us were still propping up the bar after midnight. Rooms large and comfortable.
Central location within easy walk to Theatre and centre of Stratford.
The fixed menu had four choices for each course and most were delicious but salmon risotto not so good.
We have stayed a couple of times and enjoyed ourselves. The location is great short walk to the river, restaurants and bars
Sadly and I know it can’t always be helped, our room was nice, huge comfortable bed but no air conditioning on! Only two fans in the room, roasting hot night, yet the corridors were all nice and cool. When asking the question at reception my husband was told the air conditioning wasn’t working.
Breakfast was great and location for the town superb
Small thing really, no soap in bathroom only shower gel.
Comfortable room however a coach was parked overnight outside our groundfloor room (109). Difficult to understand some foreign staff but they were helpful and courteous. Hot night but fan greatly helped.
