The venue for our son’s 18th birthday meal was excellent.
Only the one slight issue was that the air con units were not working in a number of our rooms, but fans were supplied to assist.
Good location
Rooms were tired and a standard room was v small, hot - no air con and a noisy fan. Very average bathroom. Staff on reception were good but needed more people. Bar staff were ok, but didn’t have the right glasses, and didn’t seem very with it! a latte coffee didn’t even come with a biscuit!
No aircon
Bed was comfortable
Vast soul-less hotel, not at all as described. Whole place needs a refresh.
The choice on offer was good but it would have me nice to have a selection of fresh fruit instead of just melon.
Good choice of hot and cold buffet for breakfast regularly replenished throughout the breakfast sitting times. Our room was in the wings of the hotel at the back of the complex, where it was quiet - a good size room with king size bed made from two singles. The hotel has some interesting architecture inside and is a bit of a labyrinth, however, once negotiated it works very well.
Didn't like the 'regimented' timing for breakfast - this I think may have something to do with groups staying there. The hotel is situated on a busy junction/thoroughfare which crosses the Avon. As a result there is always a lot of traffic passing by the hotel - this meant it could be tricky crossing the roads to walk into Stratford and difficult getting out if driving.
Location great hotel was very nice
Our room number 28 right next to laundry room and every half hour very large jet noise from extractor fans so unable to sleep through the night. Breakfast was a bit chaotic.
Location, staff, breakfast, parking, food, ambience, the building, my room, the shower.
That I didn't have time to make use of the spa facilities.
Location and beds
Our room was very hot because the air conditioning was broken. We were told that it couldn’t be repaired
Heat in rooms was difficult to sleep in. Even with provided fan. Air cooling system did not seem to cool at all
Setting really good and staff good
Bar prices
Location
Air conditioning didn’t work in very hot weather and staffing was non existent
Looks nice outside. Wide range of facilities that I didn’t have time to use
No fridge in the room. No air conditioning in the room. My room was hotter than the corridor and even sleeping with a wet towel over me could not bring my core temperature down. I left at 4am, because I couldn’t sleep and it was cooler in the corridor than the room. The caution very hot notice on the hot water tap needed to be on the cold tap too since I scaled my hand when I first turned it on.
Fantastic location, parking, lovely room, comfy bed!
