Pros:

Very nice room with a great view of the cathedral. Excellent covered parking at reasonable prices.

Cons:

The room was very hot in what was an extreme heatwave, due to not having air conditioning. We were also very disappointed to be told that the breakfast we had booked had been cancelled due to the hotel 'having run out of food', which to be honest we didn't believe at all and thought it had more likely been due to the heatwave at the time, possibly staff not wanting to work? This caused us great inconvenience as we were travelling on from the hotel that day and had to miss breakfast.

The most disgusting hotel we have ever booked, we refused all 3 rooms for health and safety reasons.

Filthy everywhere, snots wiped on bedroom wall, hair in bath drain etc.
Staff attitude disgusting, unable to provide ice, glasses or anything else.

Pros:

The location was beautiful. The receptionist was lovely. She made us feel at home.

Cons:

The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. There were no mattress protectors on the bed. To be honest, maybe the manager should sleep in each room of his hotel. The couch had a cut on the armrest and was not comfortable at all. I have pictures if you need them. This was the second time we stayed here, and I'm not sure we will again. The hotel is tired and seriously needs a revamp.

A superbly situated hotel that needs money spent on modernisation.
Pros:

We've been staying at this hotel for over 10 years. The staff are very good, very friendly, very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect with views of the cathedral. The room was a good size with two comfortable chairs.

Cons:

The rooms are starting to look a little dated and in need of modernization, or at least some TLC. For example we had two windows that opened, a large one and a smaller one above it. Well the smaller one might have opened if someone hadn't unscrewed the handle and taken it away. The choice with the larger window was closed or wide open. The bathroom too needs a bit of work to bring it up to properly modern standards.
