Location, bed, view.
Lack of Room Housekeeping, damaged bathroom plugs. Leaky shower screen. Lack of help from receptionist.
Room was o.k. and in good position.
Breakfast very poor value for money . No choice of fruit juice and when I asked for orange - the most popular choice I would have thought - the reply was that they did not have any. Poor selection of fresh fruit - just watermelon and a few grapes. Marmalade dispenser was very difficult to work and just 2 or 3 dribbles came out.
Room only had 3 hangers for 2 people so had to ask for some more. Although there were tea and coffee in the room there were no biscuits and no bottled water which I would have thought appropriate in a so styled "executive" room.
Good location. Reasonable priced for what it offered
the hotel is getting dated. The heating was either too much or not enough
Very obliging reception staff.
unable to find the contact telephone number for reception Quinn wanted.
A breakfast offer was not up to the standard one would expect from a four star hotel; fairly limited choice, leathery fried egg and the bacon ditto.
No extra blanket provided in the room.
Location in the centre of Winchester, right beside the cathedral
I was assigned a ‘compact double’ room. This may not have been a problem had I known beforehand- the fact I was on my own meant I just accepted it. However, the bed was VERY small, it may have been four feet wide but the duvet was an exact fit to the mattress…the cover was larger and it was that that was used to ‘tuck it in’ so it didn’t fall off! Also, the pillows were either too flat or too tall. I couldn’t use two ‘flat ones’ together and couldn’t use the other two (other than on their own) either. The bed had a piece of wood screwed to the frame - this piece wasn’t painted or stained and looked awful!
The bathroom was dirty and had signs of not being properly cleaned/maintained for some time. There were stains on the wall and in the grouting that should not have been there.
I was also told I needed to pay £2 for a jug of milk to have in my room - except that would be from the bar, that had closed!
All I. All, I found the overall quality to be ‘below standard’ for a hotel that seeks to sell itself as being of a certain standard…I do not think it is worth the £170+ I paid for two nights (room only)…☹️. Finally, the remote control didn’t work properly (and had no back!) so I couldn’t get any radio at all.
I have more than the four photos I have uploaded should the hotel want them
The location is really good, in the centre next to the Cathedral
The breakfast area not clean, in my room was no toilet brush, the bed sheets dirty, the afternoon stag no knowledge of the Hotel policies
Comfortable bed and pillows. Felt safe in the room. Check in and out very efficient. Great location. Love the special glass artwork in the lobby.
The hotel bedrooms are looking tired, need a refurbishment, especially the carpets, bathrooms and furniture. The lift button panel is loose and most of the car parking spaces are out of use.
Vertical clean and comfortable room and lovely soft bed and big tv
Noise from outside was loud with window open
Nothing

Friendly staff who made us and Millie our dog welcome
Soo lucky to be upgraded to a more superior room. Overlooking the cathedral - quite spectacular. Quiet location.
All was good.
