A nice friendly hotel. I would be happy to stay there again.
Pros:

Friendly staff, comfortable room, good breakfast.

Cons:

Poor signing to Reception, which was different owing to on-going renovations. It was said to be from the "garden", more like a back yard than a garden! Unable to adjust heating in my room.

Disappointed
Pros:

Location, room and breakfast.

Cons:

While the improvements are being carried out the facilities are at best basic. We had an outside room where there was no lift. 3 flights of stairs. Breakfast room was back in the main building which was again upstairs. The staff did help by operating the outside lift for me for the breakfast. No bar to come back to at night. While we knew there would be disruption I feel the £638 for 3 nights was overpriced in view of the austerity and lack of facilities.

good but some aspects disappointing. Did this reflect the room price?
Pros:

Room good but in a period of refurbishment and all in all that was disappointing....breakfast good value if you eat a lot.

Cons:

Lack of facilities like a bar and lounge and no lift for the bedroom

Great location but poor service and being renovated so everything was closed.
Pros:

Location was great.

Cons:

The hotel was mainly closed for reservations and had I had known this I wouldn’t have booked.
We ended up in an annex at the back of the hotel.
