Disappointing
Pros:

Location

Cons:

It should be noted that this construction takes over the entire hotel and you are still charged full price. There’s no parking and barely any air-conditioning.

Great, if not for the refurb
Pros:

This hotel on the outside is beautiful. However, they did not mention until 2 days before arriving that the hotel was under constructions and you were not staying in that part of the hotel. Instead we were put in the annex across the courtyard that had no elevator and the phone was hard to work in order to contact the front desk. They did have a porter that helped with out heavy luggage, but that meant we had to tip, instead of carrying it ourselves with the elevator. The restaurant was closed so they help breakfast in the conference room. It was a lovely full English breakfast that we did enjoy. The waitresses were so nice and got you anything you needed. The room was dated but the bathroom seemed new. It had one of those showers that are trendy with the half glass wall with no door so you felt like you had to watch the floor for flooding. The location is fabulous. All you have to do is walk out onto the main road to watch the changing of the guards. There is also all kinds of shopping, Windsor Castle and Eton is down the street within walking distance. Check out the Shambles bar (The Crooked House) almost directly across from the hotel. The food was delicious and the waitress was friendly. You can also check out dinner at The Prince Harry Tavern across the street. The gentleman (I think his name was Tony) bent over backwards to help. I would stay here again, if I wasn't put in the annex. For the amount of money you spend on this hotel, the value is not there if you're placed in the annex.
