Really lovely place to stay with exceptional staff
Pros:

The hotel seemed like it had recently been refurbished and therefore felt luxurious. All staff were incredibly helpful and polite and I would definitely visit again!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Absolutely gross, checked back out instantly and found better accommodation

Place was a disgusting hell hole

Cons:

Room was absolutely disgraceful chewing gum sitting on the side, carpets were so badly soiled and stained I wouldn’t even take my shoes off, tv didn’t work and neither did the phone when I tried to call reception to speak to staff about the condition of the room. I wouldn’t let a dog sleep in there it was disgusting, discarded take away wrappers and bags in hall way, food on the floor

Pros:

The duty manager was kind and showed us to a different room.

Cons:

On arrival we noticed a leak in the lobby and alerted the front desk. We went to our room, it wasnt very big and felt claustrophobic. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep on it. We were upgraded to another room which was 2 singles for 3 people 🤔 the bed was too hard and the pillows were lumpy. We were to exhausted and embarrassed to say anything, not a great experience and probably wouldn't book at a holiday inn again. The staff were pleasant especially hotel deputy manager.

Cons:

The breakfast was poor. The hot selection looked and tasted like it had been out for hours and not fresh.
The bed in our room was rock hard and not comfortable at all.

Pros:

The location was very good. Didn't have to wrestle with difficult traffic further into town Easy to find. Staff welcoming and responded to humour.
Range of food was excellent to suit all tastes. Reception staff were very communicative and very warming welcome

Excellent hotel, would highly recommend.
Pros:

Staff lovely from check in to bars and restaurant. The hotel is lovely, nice public areas and very clean. Our room was lovely, again very clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom with nice accessories. Very good value for money.
