Layout - rooms were spread out in what felt like a maze. My room was a long way from Reception.
Bathroom was tiny - had to hover over toilet to close door!
Parking outside was main reason for booking as I have mobility issues and my family member was having hospital treating Reading.
That booking .com had a communication issue with it’s their booking system . I had confirmed so had a double bed in my room and on arrival had been allocated a twin single room . Not what I booked or expected .
Quite, good night sleep
Bathroom small, not a lot of room to move in.
The restaurant and reception area are lovely: fresh, clean and modern.
The menu and food are also lovely.
The bedrooms are very dated and badly in need of refurb.
They are very drab and the beds and pillows are like rocks.
I also didn't like, as a lone female traveller being put in a room that was adjoined with another room. I appreciate that the doors lock from either side but they offer no soundproofing at all. So at 6am I heard the guy next doors alarm, I heard him sneezing, stirring his tea & going to the toilet. It was like he was in my room and as a lone female traveller I shouldn't feel like that.

The air conditioning...
The bed, it was like sleeping in concrete. The food also gave me food poisoning which I'm only just coming out the otherside of.
You have baths in the rooms but yet the plug doesn't go down so you can't actually have a bath! The shower screen was far too large and I couldn't actually move it as the seals were stuck
Close to motorway junction
Rooms a bit dated
Clean. Easy to locate.
No lift/ elevator
Room service was expensive (per most hotels) with an additional £5 charge to bring it to the room. The tray would have been too heavy due to my back issue.
Window appeared not to close but did eventually with a big shove.
Broken tile above bath.
For a 4* I’d expect a basic biscuit in the room or bottle of water.
No fridge.
Little things that could make the hotel a solid 4* were missing/ overlooked. Please do tell clients that there’s so lift. It matters.
The staff attitude is excellent. Very helpful and pleasant.
Personeel top
It was very clear and the staff were very helpful 🙂🙂
Nothing 😁
Standard good value holiday inn
Paying for parking in the hotel's own carpark. I understand the carpark being monitored and a payment system being in place, but as a guest you should not have to pay for an overnight stay in a large under utilised carpark
Good location from the motorway.
It was all a bit tired. Could do with some tlc.
Room was really hot and stuffy. The AC took two hours to cool the room.
We chose to stay at this hotel overnight as part of a two day trip to Legoland.
We were immediately refreshed by the air con in the lobby when we arrived, it had been 35 degrees outside.
The lady on the check-in desk was very helpful and polite, and swiftly got us our key and explained how to get to our room (320).
After a lengthy walk (this place is a warren) we made it to a family room on the ground floor, not far from the rear carpark. The air conditioning was equally cold, and an absolute blessing.
The sofa bed had been made up already for our two kids and the large double bed for the grown ups was suitably inviting.
The highlight of our trip was arguably the breakfast greeting from Suleyman, with cereal box and comedy glasses on his head!! This chap needs a payrise - he was brilliant with the kids, but equally attentive with ‘grown up’ requests including our daughter’s gluten free diet.
This hotel represented great value for money, and conveniently placed with Lidl opposite, and a handful of eateries - Nando’s, Burger King etc just a five mins walk away.
No road noise to mention, although heavy footed guests could be heard in both the corridor outside our room, and in the floor above.
Easy to find and park.
Needed more plugs in the room. No fridge
