I had not stayed at a Holiday Inn for about 15 years after a mediocre/poor experience at one in Central London so I approached my recent stay at Preston with some anxiety. After having had 6 nights at Preston however, my anxiety was totally misplaced in that virtually everything was excellent. What stood out however were the staff - without fail, from checking in to leaving, they went out of their way to make the guest experience a superb one. Whoever is responsible for hiring at Holiday Inn Preston, clearly knows what they are doing and the staff were a true credit to HI.
This is probably the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. Location great, room superb and the staff were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful, in particular Bhup who signed me in and Dyan behind the bar, who was an absolute star, but everyone was lovely. Thank you very much!
Nice place. Very quiet for evening meal. Good breakfast. Stayed here many times with my daughter Xmas shopping. Good standard staff nice
Lovely clean hotel, with the most friendly staff I have ever met, from check in through to dinner and at checkout. Kamila, Dylan and Jawa’s, could not be more helpful. Some noise from the gym but this stopped promptly on closing.
Limited parking but plenty of places to park nearby.
Stayed here with my son for the football for one night. The hotel has everything you could want for a short stay. We ate in the restaurant on arrival and the food was fine, not gourmet but it filled the gap. The room itself was modern and comfortable. The bed was comfy and had a choice of hard and soft pillows. The bathroom had the dreaded shower in the bath which is a pet hate of mine but the pressure and temperature were good. Breakfast the following morning was buffet style and there was plenty of choice. Cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries and plenty more and all you could eat. Very tasty. All in all a pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it
Stayed after a train delay and was very impressed. Excellent value for money. The rooms were clean and very comfortable; there was a little road noise, but that’s to be expected being next to the Ringway. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Dyan, Jawad, and a lovely young lady who was in training were so helpful, and the service was outstanding.
Stayed for 4 nights during the week. Main road runs round the side of the hotel so some traffic noise. But location is super, easy to get to with bus station next door and train station a 15 minute walk. Decent on site parking. Right next door to the town centre 5 minutes takes you to all the shopping centres and eating houses.
The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, clean tidy and staff go overboard to make you feel welcome.
The bar and restaurant and chill out area are perfect for that personal touch.
Breakfast was good but need to get your timing right for the food to be warm and plentyfull.
The evening dining had Dyan looking after us. So on ball shes unbelieveable, nearly too good. Suggests everything you need before you think about it. So 10 for service. The menu mets most needs and was always freshly cooked. Only downside was frozen chunky chips with my fish not great. But only complaint after 4 days breakfast and dinners.
We had a coach trip from penzance to Scotland but stayed here on are way up lovely friendly staff nothing to much for them ,helpful hotel really nice plot stay we all enjoyed it ,and as luck would have it we stayed there on are way back to Cornwall nice food a good experience
I stayed here again for one night whilst on business in Preston and had a good experience. I managed to get a space in the hotel's small car park, which was an unexpected bonus as the nearest paid parking is a bit of a trek with luggage. Check-in was very efficient and my 5th floor room was adequate for a one-night stay, although it was very cold on arrival, due mainly to the draughty secondary glazing. The bathroom was a tad pokey and I'm not really a fan of over the bath showers, especially with a fabric shower curtain - a bit old hat in this day & age?
I ate in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed both good food and excellent service from the lovely Dyan, who was a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was average with the usual lukewarm hot buffet but there were enough other choices that no-one need go away hungry.
All in all this is a decent city centre hotel, suitable for a single night, and I would stay here again when next in Preston.
Staff were excellent and friendly, big shout out to Jawad who went above and beyond what you expect , recommend this hotel to every one
My holiday in Preston was enjoyable overall. The hotel offered good service and a convenient location close to local attractions. The room was comfortable, though it could use a few updates. Staff were kind and professional, which made the stay even better. I’d consider returning on my next visit
It was a wonderful experience at Jamila Hotels. The staff, Jawad, was very welcoming and personable, and he was the right person for the right place. See you next February.
Just note that there is no variety in breakfast.
Stayed here overnight twice on onward and return coach trip to Scotland from the South West. Bedroom spotless with lovely large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with decent towels (not always the case with some hotels). All public area's well maintained and very clean. The staff in the bar and restaurant were really welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to look after us especially with the menu which they "tweeked" to accommodate my dietary requirements on both visits. Plenty of choice at breakfast and all served hot, again the breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly. Great hotel and staff.
Myself and my husband stayed here this week, it was meant to be for 1 night but due to unforeseen circumstances it turned to 2 nights, staff were friendly and professional at all times even when i got a bit upset and stressed and came over abrupt and rude (i genuinely offer my sincere apologies for that) they still smiled and helped.
We stayed in 2 rooms and offered a 3rd but that wasn’t needed all 3 rooms were lovely (a few stains on the carpet but honestly minor i have OCD so notice petty stuff but have to give honest review), night staff were amazing especially Mohammad (forgive me if it’s spelt incorrectly) that man is a walking angel such a beautiful soul even at 2am dealing with me an overstimulated mother with ADHD and Anxiety and my husband just high on being free for the night acting like absolute teenagers honestly both the staff that night were brilliant, the pizza was absolutely gorgeous and Mohammad knows his way around that barista machine 👌🏻 his lattes and hot chocolates are definitely worth a second visit.
Thank you everyone who we spoken to you were all amazing xxx
Dyan, Jawad and Fekr really looked after us in the bar and with our evening meal. They went above and beyond for us. Even giving us bottles of water to take to our rooms. Our manager bought a round of drinks and Fekr gave us a discount! The 3 of them made our evening at the holiday inn Preston extremely enjoyable and memorable.
Stayed for 2 nights for a work trip as a group. We were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly, helpful, professional and attentive. From the staff on reception to the bar/restaurant staff, breakfast staff and the housekeeping staff nothing was too much trouble to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was comfy and clean. The bed was very comfy and the food was very good. Would definitely stay there again. Had a family atmosphere which is great when you are away from home. Special mention for Dyan, Fekri,Jawad, and the lady at breakfast whose name I didn't get sorry. Thank you 😊
Great hotel, stayed 4 nights, very friendly, professional and attentive staff, served in the bar / restaurant a couple of nights by Dyan, who advised on best food choices and ensured my meals and drinks were promptly delivered. Excellent service.
I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Preston for nearly 30 days this year and wanted to share my experience.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Preston, with plenty of comfortable, well-equipped rooms that meet all the needs of a traveler.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, with weekly specials that keep the menu interesting. The service is excellent – Dyan and the rest of the team always go above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and enjoy their meals.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Preston, whether for business or leisure.
Lovely hotel and fab service in the restaurant with Dyan being a wonderful host. Nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile
I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn in Preston, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff made me feel welcome upon arrival.
The meals at the restaurant were perfect for me. Dyan and the rest of the team made dining enjoyable. They were attentive to every detail, and checked in at just the right intervals. The Breakfast was decent too, offering plenty of choices.
I would easily stay here again whenever I’m in Preston.
