Pros:

I booked this hotel for myself and my colleague, we stayed here for 1 night on 10.02.2025. Hotel is a bit tired and the rooms need updating.
My colleague didn’t have the best of experiences. His WC in the en-suite had water that kept running and wouldn’t stop, he went to reception and the staff there were not very helpful, he managed eventually to fix it himself. Then at checkout they tried to add an extra of food and drinks on the bill, he had nothing as we went out for dinner away from the hotel and left early in the morning, when he queried it the receptionist was rude and unhelpful but eventually corrected the bill. Don’t think we will be returning.

Pros:

Disappointed in the very small room, and the "king size" bed is an English king size which is a queen size elsewhere. We stayed in three other properties this trip and they all provided a true king size bed, Holiday Inn is the one exception providing a smaller bed This should be highlighted in their advertisements.

Pros:

Hotel was clean and having a spa/pool onsite made it a must have. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Walking distance to restaurants so you uave options. Only down sides was i booked a king bed room with sofa bed and got a double bed room. The bed was also very hard and i woke with a bad back, lucky there was a hot tub in the morning. Overall enjoyed the stay and hope they just improve the small things to make it a much better stay.

Holiday Inn Taunton East experience
Pros:

Once we found the correct version of the two Holiday Inns situated very close to each other, the check-in was smooth and trouble-free.
After sleeping well, we both woke up feeling achy, though it seems to be going as we move around. Breakfast was very good. There was a huge choice to the help yourself buffet. It was all good quality and cooked well where appropriate.

Pros:

Very good hotel ,friendly & helpful staff , the room was clean & good size . Meals are good value & excellent choice for breakfast . It has good amenities with the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc that you can access as part of your stay.We would highly recommended

Pros:

Tv in the room is way too old! Should be smart! Floor is dusty! Clearly the cleaners didn’t even hoover! Key cards keeps getting reset couldn’t enter our room 3x! Really inconvenient for us cause it’s a long walk to the reception to my room!
