The staff were helpful and the shuttle bus into Key West worked well. It was clean.
The room was small for two double beds. It was quite dark. The bathroom was small and there was one sink in the room. The breakfast was limited and was more 2 star than 3 star with disposable plates and crockery. It's confusing as there are two different Fairfield Marriott hotels close to each other and this is not clear on the websites.
Very pretty
Shuttle Service
The property was beautiful. The landscaping was very nice.
Was disappointed when I was told that we had free shuttle to downtown, but we would be charged $25 since we went through Booking.com so we continue to tell the front desk that we would not be using the shuttle. I asked for receipt for our stay and received one and I was charged for shuttle every day when I specifically said I was not going to be using the shuttle. When I called the front desk to ask why these charges were on there they said they were shuttle charges when I explained what I was told about being a third-party booking and it would be an extra charge instead of free like all the other guest instead I paid for a trolley and use taxi and Uber. I do not feel like I should’ve been charged for this shuttle fee and I have never felt so degraded at any hotel that I’ve been to. I have used Booking.com for a long time and never had an issue like this. I am a BonVoy member and decided to use the Fairfield because they are in their chain. I feel like I was scammed by this Hotel
the stay
the unadvertised parking fee added on at the time of check was NOT appreciated! especially after paying a premium price and according to booking it had free self parking....
Die Betten
Licht funktionierte nicht so überall
Moc hezké a čisté pokoje, příjemné prostředí, dobrá snídaně. Personál velmi milý a přátelský.
Location and breakfast on site
Poor needed attention
It has been two decades since I was in Key West last, and only by a good business opportunity did I find myself making the journey once more. There really is no great lodging option in Key West, there are just some better than others. The Fairfield brand has its own reputation, underpinned by Marriott, but this experience merely proves you cannot have everything.
To the good- an exceptionally friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of service. Parking was not a problem during my stay, there were plenty of spaces and that is always a good thing! Location wise, well you are out a little ways from the hustle and bustle of Key West proper, but this motel is conveniently located adjacent some popular known chains. So, if you came all the way to Key West to get away from something but you cannot bring yourself to get away from the same Starbucks you drink at home you are in luck, there is one next door. It is a nice place too, even the homeless who congregate there mind their business. There is also a Taco Bell next door, and a few other places.
Now, here is what will keep me away from the place if I ever return. The room is dimensionally smaller than your average motel room. It looks old. There was a pretty significant gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, so critters and sound and such has a way through. Plantation shutters are the window covering of choice and the window looks out to the walkway, but I am not certain these afford you 100% privacy. You can hear people go by on the walkway, so if you can hear people go by then you can hear what is going on in the room I would expect. So, if you have concerns of modesty (and yes I know it is the Keys), you might want to factor this into your thought process- your choice of lodgings and your behaviors behind closed doors but maybe semi-gapped shutters.
Water pressure is extremely low, even for a low flow head, I mean like a water fountain.
Bed was hard like concrete. I am pretty used to sleeping on anything anywhere, and if I wake up stiff, trust me the bed is like concrete. Small pillows do not offer much support, depends on your taste in pillows. Bed and linens seemed clean though, and the bedding is pretty thin.
I did not use the shuttle, the front desk gave me the schedule but there was mixed information about needing to reserve a seat or whatever so I just took my rental to town.
The breakfast buffet served outside which, if the weather cooperates, and it did, is nice. A very reasonable set of choices really from what I recall atypical for a Fairfield. I had a cup of coffee.
So, in the end, the building is very dated and in good Key West fashion you pay a very high premium for the luxury of telling your friends how you went to the Keys. Elsewhere this would be a $59 room.
Situation de l'hôtel. La piscine .
Les chambres sont d'un niveau très moyen.
That it was next to a Starbucks
The rooms were extremely small, paying for parking
The air conditioner vent was soooooo loud it was annoying. The bar and pool are nice and floaties are nice touch. The bar should stay open later and serve food later than 5:30 but we enjoyed especially Shelley the bartender and breakfast was nice but not open til 7 am - the shuttle to Duvall St was also very nice and prompt. It’s a nice property- one in my group had a renovated room and one did not it’s clean - just LOUD A/C vent. Also pick a room with a pool view.
The pool was closed
Breakfast was Good
Filthy Small Room
Property was okay and parking was easy
Pool was closed most of the stay
Great price in Key West; clean; nice pool and buffet breakfast
A little dated
