Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston Humble

I am physically ill from my stay in this dilapidated building. The promoted pictures are a misrepresentation of the actual state of the hotel. Yes, the lobby has been recently redone, that is the only inhabitable space within this building. They have claimed to be under construction for over a year. I did not see a single construction worker in my three days there, and boxes and furniture are littered all over the property and have been very clearly sitting there for a long time.

Unfortunately, that is not the worst aspect of this hotel. The hotel has a musty, moldy smell emanating throughout the building and most strongly coming from thein room air conditioner. I believe this building has been flooded and was not adequately remediated. The mustiness coming from my air conditioner was so terrible my throat began to hurt when I entered the room after being out of the room all day unbothered. I asked for another room, only to find that same moldy, mustiness came from all the air-conditioning, as confirmed by the staff. The staff was the only redeeming factor of this place. I have pictures to share, if desired.

I have enjoyed nearly every Marriott property I have stayed at and am enthusiastically loyal to this brand. My usual Marriott property was booked up for this stay, and I specifically sought out the next closest Marriott location to stay. I regret doing so, as I am now home and feeling terrible from what I am sure was constant exposure to mold for the past three days. The hotel is an absolute disgrace to the Marriott name.

This property is sort of old and could use a few face lifts. Door frame to bathroom was rusted and shower curtain was torn at one end at the top. Room 216

Only stayed only night. It was fine.

It looked ran down and needs remodeled

I have been staying at this property for 5 or more years

Used for a long layover. Good for what it was, no more no less.

Fairly easy

Front desk staff was not friendly. They didn’t greet us when we walked through the Lobby.

We stayed for 3 nights and never received housekeeping service. When we submitted requests for toilet paper and towels it took hours for them to arrive at our door.

This hotel is good if you don’t expect to be wow’d or expect personalized service. It’s a place to sleep.
