We were disappointed! This hotel doesn’t meet the standards of the typical Marriott brand.
Bed was very soft and felt like an old mattress. The room felt damp - not sure what caused that feeling of dampness.
Hotel needs to be renovated and beds upgraded
Lobby was very nice, very clean
Obvious it was under renovation, carpet in hallway was torn (but it was clean)
Breakfast ended too early for many. Totally missed it arriving at 9am…Food was already gone the first day. Got there at 8:30 next day and observed several guests arrive a few minutes after 9, to no food so we weren’t the only ones missing this. Also, no fruit ,except green oranges, no bananas or apples! Glad you had waffles.
I have been staying at this Hotel since it opened. I actually required my Employee's to stay at this location when we had Team Members staying in the Jacksonville area. Over the Many years I enjoyed my stays until my last visit on June 4, 2026.
As per my Profile which I have had many years I have a Room Preference for Rooms near Elevators as my Wife has had both knees replaced. On my Last visit as requested we were provided a Room near an elevator. Problem was every time the Elevator moved it made a slamming noise that literally made us think the ceiling was going to cave in. We tried to put up with it, but the noise was unbearable. I went down to the Front Desk around 10:00 PM to request another room. At that time the Clerk who I have seen and met many times over the years informed me to get another room I would have to pay additional Room charges. Initially I thought he was kidding. He informed me in a very less than friendly tone that he was not kidding since I requested a room near the elevator. I had no idea a room not near the Elevator was more expensive. End of the day I will not ever stay at this Hotel again. Not due to the Room. It’s due to the Surly Attitude and disposition of the Desk Clerk. I’m not sure of His name. But he is a Large Bearded Person that like I said I have met many times and never had a problem with. I will also be posting this review on other Public Media websites. Hopefully if the owners of the Hotel are interested, they can check Video of the Conversation I had with the Clerk or they can contact me. I do not want anything from this Hotel and would refuse anything if offered. My last comment to the Clerk is "I could not for the life of me know how a Business can Run off a long-term client over a few measly dollars". And I don’t know what the additional room charge was going to be. It would not have mattered if it was only a Nickel. A poor attitude and an openly Hostile Conversation ran off a lifetime Customer of this Hotel.
The bed was very comfortable. The room had plenty of space. They have a complimentary breakfast if you're interested in that.
The front desk staff at check in was extremely rude and unprofessional. Half of the second floor was under renovations and smelled awful. The pool is very small and was full of leaves.
location
Bathroom sink slow draining, towel rack coming off the wall, paint chipping from bathroom ceiling

Update!!! Marriott ought to be ashamed of themselves!!! The condition of this hotel is horrible!!! It needs to be condemned. This hotel has gone completely downhill! I had stayed here once 7 years ago and it wasn’t great then but it’s even worse now. Then they gave us a room where the door was open and it wasn’t even clean. The carpet was filthy and obviously at least 20 years old… gross. The only thing that looks decent at this property is the lobby. The windows had blankets and garbage bags and looked like it was an abandoned trap house. It was quite scary. The mattress was exposed because the bed was not made and it was falling apart and in terrible condition and old. The tub definitely needs to be resurfaced. Towels looked bare and raggedy. Elevator was shaky. Paint falling off the wall. The guy at the front was nice but they need to close until they undergo complete refurbishment. We refused to stay and requested a refund.
The property is in a convenient location and the deposit required to stay is cheaper than majority of other hotels.
The hotel room 229 we stayed in smelled bad like a sweaty dog. We thought that the smell would get better when the AC cooled down the room. It made the smell slightly better but still stank. Also in the hallway outside the room there was water damage/spots on ceiling could be cause for room smell.
Friendly staff.
Not enough towels in the bathroom.
Ease of scheduling
The TV was unusable. Press all the buttons on the remote - nothing.. no instructions.
Apparently, using Booking com or other 3rd party venues, you end up on the 3rd floor. While the elevator worked okay, I suppose ground floor rooms are reserved for late-comers. In this instance the 3rd floor was half under renovation. Plastic sheets cordering off a segment of the floor.
Love the staff and everything was clean. The staff were emphatic about our previous experience at the hotel we just left and gave us a newly renovated room. Breakfast was delicious.
We loved everything about our stay.
Closet all events planned for weekend.
The room next to me had an overflow from somewhere and so there was repeated loud banging as they let door slam while they transferred rooms. Then repair workers were there with loud machines vacuuming up water I guess. This all happened at 12:30am! I went downstairs and talked to reception and she informed me what was happening.
Poor sleeping that night!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was similar to most hotel/motel breakfasts. We felt safe in this establishment. The facility definitely needs some refurbishing. The curtains in our room had large tears, the bathtub was chipped and there were stains on the carpets in the hallways. It would not be my choice for a return visit.
I would "NOT" recommend staying at this place very outdated and dirty. We checked out a day early and we were charged for the one night that we did not stay due to early checkout which we were not told that there would be a charge for early check out. Not very customer friendly.
