ROOM WAS OK
This hotel is a level below all other Fairfield Inns I’ve stayed in. The physical facility is subpar, e.g., shower doors that don’t stay closed, and tile that has come loose from the wall. There are hardly any plugs in the room—NO bedside outlets, and none at the desk.
The furniture is a step down from Fairfield standards. The beside tables were mismatched and shabby.
The front desk clerk was friendly and made check in easy.
This has to be one of the worst hotels ever. The first room they brought us too was not cleaned and still had the previous persons soap in bathroom. The next room they gave us had a whole in the floor covered by the carpet. The base boards of the bathroom covered in mold.
Staff was great, very friendly- breakfast was good, coffee was good, room was clean - needs some paint & general updates, but was overall a good nights stay. After reading the reviews, we were hesitant, but we had no issues!
Security, friendly staff, and breakfast
The area isn’t the best in Memphis but the hotel had a gate at the entrance which was good for security.
Bed and room were nice.
Booked on booking.com but still was charged on check in with a high deposit.
We had the door ajar waiting on a friend and the cleaning lady just walked right in without even knocking or saying hello. Definitely was anwkard seeing her in my towel.
Unfortunately still havent received deposit back.
We stay in a lot of Marriotts, mainly because we know what we will get. This Fairfield Inn was below Marriott standards, in my opinion. Needs maintenance and updating.
Had water leak spots, air conditioning barely blows, & breakfast was horrible. other than that? AMAZING! Comfortable bed, WiFi booming, IHOP was across the street
Hotel is not in a better part of town. However, loved that they lock a gate up at 7pm at night to make it safer. Friendly staff. Hotel could do with some updating as bathroom is in need of some work. Overall a good stay.
Out dated hotel. Needs room upgrades.
The bathroom could be a little more cleaner. Lots of mold in the shower and bathroom walls. Breakfast was ok.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with Marriott. The hotel itself was dirty; I had 3 other couples that traveled with me, and they all had to change rooms due to the dirtiness. My room had no ironing board, no toiletries except a little bar of soap and a small lotion; no Kleenex; I had to request room service; the lock on my door was broken; the ice machine barely worked, all I was able to get was a half bucket of ice because it stopped working after a min or so; the nice pool that is advertised on the app had not been in use for 3 years per receptionist at front desk. The pool was covered with old dirty leaves and a dirty net. There was an odor in the hallway, the air conditioner was not working well so it was also hot. There was no manager there for my entire stay, although I was told the manager would be there Monday morning. Upon checking out on Monday, the front desk lady said the manager was out of town. I would never recommend this place to anyone, nor any of Marriott's services. I called Marriott's customer service number as well when I arrived and during the 1st call, I was hung up on, and the second person I spoke to was not helpful at all, just told me to speak with the manager at hotel. The Marriot name needs to be removed from this hotel. There was a lot of false advertisement for this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!
Amazing staff! Helpful and compassionate, felt welcome and
Tv's are all blue in the screens! We had to move 3 times to get a room that the air conditioning worked in! And that tv looked good and not blue! I expected much better from a Fairfield! It needed a lot of work and improvement!
