Really cosy hotel great location - its tired but well managed

very covid safe hotel

I was more than delighted with my weekend at the Mecure Hotel. It was had all the procedures of COVID-19. It was shame that the restaurant and bar were closed as it would have been really nice. The hotel was awfully however my room had a fan which was very useful. Furthermore my bed was massive despite it being a double room.

Absolutely stunning building, tired room. In a room with limited natural light you would expect good electric lighting unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Lots of lights but low wattage bulbs. Bathroom had 4 lights with only 1 working. Staff were lovely throughout.

The hotel was ok don’t think I would stop again if I was in Leicester would probably check out a different hotel the only good thing I can say it was Good location if you wanted to go In the town centre but unfortunately Checking in wasn’t a good experience seemed to be one rule for some people and another rule for others When Wearing face mask and Hand sanitizing

A good location for us to travel by train and visit Richard111 Centre and van Gogh exhibition.Bar/lounge pleasant and staff helpful and welcoming.
Sadly we were given a very cold room with a non functioning radiator. The second room was the same but number 3 was ok. We met another guest who told us the heating was down in part of the hotel.

Really nice hotel with a great history and excellent location

Hotel was overall nice and convenient for my stay. I did find the room a bit hot to sleep in.

Food excellant and service room very comfatable only negative though bathroom looked a little tired but would have no hesitation in going back👍

All was exceptional for the price, friendly staff, good breakfast, very comfortable bed - no complaints

Run down holes in netting and windows letting cold air in. Workers were excellent and tried really hard.

The only disappointment point is the very slow WiFi connection at the hotel.

I do not have a bad think to say about our stay at Hotel Mercure.
The room was lovely and clean.
The breakfast in the morning was well cooked and plentiful.

Not good, unloved and scruffy, rooms old and in need of investment.

We were moved from the hotel to another hotel no information was provided before the trip that they had overbooked

Rude staff on check-in, dusty dirty rooms, nothing like the pictures.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel friendly staff and hotel close to all amenities but my room was so hot radiator on full blast me and my partner had struggled to sleep

Location is excellent except if your room is on roadside, you will not be able to sleep due to the Sports Bar on the road which remains extremely noisy. Since there is no AC or any ventilation in the rooms, you will have to keep window open to avoid suffocation and this noise with open window will make sure that you don't sleep.
