Pool was good
I ended up bitten, with evidence of bed bugs in the room. Reported immediately and yet still nobody has contacted me
Food produce very poor quality - nearly £10 for a sandwich (which I expect to pay at a hotel so have no issue with that) but thin cheap bread. Not even an attempt to get a decent loaf from the local tesco to at least make it reasonable. Cheap food but hotel prices
Shower faulty
Free parking
The distance from my room to the spa and restaurant and no lift facilities
Staff very friendly
Lack of air conditioning
Room is of good size and clean, located in a quiet area. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and plenty of towels available.
The hotel is a bit far from shops. I was charged £5 for car park, which is surprising as driving is the only way to get there. There are no lift, which was a bit of problem my auntie has slight mobility issues. Shower pressure was a bit low.
Staff very welcoming and helpful
Nothing really,
Was able to switch the rooms, first was dreadful.
Extremely disappointing stay. The initial room allocated to us was dreadful—it was visibly dirty, smelled disgusting, and the bathroom floor was unpleasant and sticky. Beyond the room itself, the corridors were heavily stained and had an lingering odor, giving the strong impression that the property has suffered from years of neglect without proper maintenance or upkeep.
To make matters worse, the swimming pool has strict, unannounced rules regarding the last entry time. This crucial information was only disclosed to us at check-in, making it impossible to plan our evening ahead of time. Overall, the poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, and undisclosed policies made for a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here.
The reception staff were very friendly, room needed hoovering but bathroom was very clean.
Not much. As i had a single room and did not eat at the property, icannot comment on other aspects. The room was clean, basic but ok and the bathroom was spotless!! A bit used but as its new management hopefully that will be adressed! Price for a saturday seemed a bit high, but not out of the ordinary!
Having to pay for parking.
Leaving it.
Parking payment, room was not clean (dirty and dusty), no AC just a very old fan, no water pressure half the time so you struggled to have a shower.
Most things. Lovely hotel, staff were great, pool was great.
The food wasn’t what we expected. Breakfast was disappointing and the dinner was okay.
Comfy large bed. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice leisure centre with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym.
Bit out of the way and difficult to get to without a car. Hotel is getting a little tired and could do with a refresh.
Welcoming staff
Safe feel for lone traveller
Furniture and decor very dated
Dirty window frames inside
Basic not very hot shower
Expensive considering breakfast not included
Nice
Nice
After staying last year we were excited to return. On arrival it soon became clear that the hotel had new owners as instantly we could feel the level of cleanliness and customer service had diminished. We arrived at 6pm, only to be made to wait for 3 and a half hours for a room. Put in two rooms which were absolutely FILTHY, had not been cleaned in weeks. We were then moved to another room which was just as filthy. We then had to wait another hour to be put back in the same dirty room. I have attached pictures to this.
The people who have taken this place over should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. The utter filth that they expect people to stay in is beyond measure.
We did not even dare go for a swim the next morning as we were scared to become ill from the dirty water.
We tried to find somewhere else to stay that evening but having already paid and it being 10pm at this time. We had no option but to stay.
We had been promised a full refund as the whole stay from when we stepped foot in the building was an utter nightmare. Still haven’t received a penny.
Please stay clear of these awful people and save your money for somewhere nice!
